Head of Infrastructure

PRTR’s IT team is looking for a Head of Infrastructure to join one of our local clients based in Bangkok. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure function including Network, Systems, Architecture, and CyberSec. You’ll be tasked with managing IT Operations, initiating and driving new end-to-end implementations, and transitioning into Hybrid-Cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, performance, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms both on-premise and cloud-based in line with the expectations of the business.
• Ownership of 1st / 2nd / 3rd line support functions related to networking, servers and storage, databases, and end-user compute infrastructure.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the group on a day-to-day basis and constantly reviewing the operating practices and structure within the function to ensure alignment with the broader business strategy.
• Working with IT peers to ensure that the function can support the development, testing, and release of new systems and functionality through the software release process. (Including, the provision of suitable production and non-production environments, monitoring tools, automation, etc).
• Being responsible for Sub-Contractor evaluation, providing recommendations for selection, & ongoing relationship management.
• Planning, project management, and implementation leadership, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
• Being hands-on in technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership, and participation in complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.
• Having Leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations and KPI compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as IT Infrastructure Management or IT Operations Manager, Cloud Platform Management.
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily.
• Background operating large-scale data center footprints, supporting production systems.
• Management background which includes the experience of managing managers, and managing teams.
• Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
• Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly-available server and network architectures.
• Good communication and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Positive thinking and good working as a team.
