Full Job Description
UX/UI DesignerThe Role
The UX/UI Designer
will be responsible for working with an application development vendor
and major property developer to lead the UX process to develop a new
tenant application in one of central Bangkok’s largest smart city
developments.
The UX/UI Designer should be dedicated
to simplifying the business and end user goals. Our UX Designers
research, discover, and create solutions for business problems through
an understanding of the end users.
The role is
full-time and on-site at the client’s office in central Bangkok.
You want to bridge the gap between business and design.
As a company that is heavily led by goals, business objectives should
be front and foremost.
Rather than being told what to
do, our UX Designers are flexible thinkers when it comes to business
strategy, design, and problem solving.
DDX is
curious about why people do what they do. We use qualitative research,
rapid prototyping, and business value analysis in an iterative agile
delivery environment.
The UX/UI Designer will:
work alongside teams of customers, managers, stakeholders, business analysts and developers;
act as an end-user advocate;
help the client to understand the value of users and user experience to their business;
mentor and evangelise agile and lean design principles;
work in an informal, collaborative, transparent, ego-free culture where talent is valued over title;
develop his/her career outside of the confines of a traditional career path by focusing on passions instead of a predetermined, one-size-fits-all plan;
make a real impact outside of work by leading and/or contributing to initiatives within DDX
Requirements Role-Specific Experience / Qualifications
Ideally, the UX/UI Designer should have:
4+ years as a UX designer working as part of a team on large-scale projects, products, and with international customers;
ability to lead the UX process, in particular workshops and design sprints;
ability to create rapid, iterative, and low-fi prototypes;
knowledge of tools and concepts around human-centred design;
qualitative research skills in user discovery;
experience in user testing, story telling, and translating between business and technical jargon;
strong business acumen; ability to relate, understand, grasp concepts, and interpret client/user needs;
history of being an active participant in the UX community;
a good theoretical and practical grasp of interaction design issues, the continually evolving vocabulary of interaction and UI design, and an ability to explain this simply to others;
extensive knowledge of Figma and similar UI design tools;
quantitative research experience;
experience with UX in an agile development environment; and
extensive business and client management skills.
