Job Description
**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively with lab technician team to support secondary classroom teachers
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and liaise effectively with other departments including but not limited to purchasing, IT and facilities
- Be proficient in the preparation, disposal and handling of chemicals and biological materials with due attention to safety
- Confident and comfortable to work with students in supporting labs and experiment work
- Assist in building, monitoring and keeping track of laboratory inventory
- Develop proficiency in effective use of technology including Google, Veracross and laboratory-related platforms
- Seek opportunities to support and improve science department efficiency
- Attend and contribute to science department meetings as requested as well as secondary and school-wide staff meetings and in-service days
- Support the school community, professional standards, and trust
- Meet contractual requirements as designated for all faculty
- Be a positive and supportive member of the secondary science department and school
- Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth
- Adhere to NIST’s Child Safeguarding Code of Conduct and NIST’s Professional Code of Conduct
- Complete all duties as defined by the school’s leadership for the designated roles
- Participate in all school activities, such as assemblies and conferences, if requested to do so
- Work from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM Monday through Friday as well as support after school practical work as needed
**Additional Job Description in relation to Child Safeguarding**:
- Be familiar with your child safeguarding policy
- Be aware of abuse risks to children
- Abide by the Code of Conduct
- Be vigilant
- Prevent abuse/protect children
- Report concerns (mandatory duty)
- Challenge poor practice/promote good practice
**Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education related field
- Hold a valid Thai Teaching License
- Teaching Experience will be an advantage
- Excellent command of English in reading, writing and speaking
- Able to work under pressure and willing to deal with students, parents and concerned staff
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal professionally with sensitive issues
- High level of IT skills
- Present excellent references indicating aptitude, flexibility and commitment
