The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Supervisor
to lead our talented R&D Engineering team at our facility in
Bangkok, Thailand.
This is a critical, hands-on leadership role where you will spearhead
New Product Development (NPD)
from concept to launch. You will manage, mentor, and guide your team while also serving as a key technical liaison for our diverse customer base, including
OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and private labels.
This role requires a leader who is ready to travel and play a pivotal part in our North American expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Development (NPD):
Drive the entire development lifecycle for new automotive interior products, from initial concept and R&D to final production. - Manage & Mentor:
Lead the R&D Engineering team, overseeing projects, guiding technical decisions, and fostering professional growth. - Production Support:
Support the production team by creating and maintaining detailed
engineering and assembly drawings
using CAD software. - Customer Coordination:
Act as the primary technical contact for our global customers (OEM, Tier 1, and private label), ensuring their requirements are met. - Drive Global Expansion:
Travel internationally (primarily to the USA)
to support our market expansion, work with new clients, and coordinate with global teams. - Quality & Compliance:
Oversee the PPAP process and ensure all products and documentation meet rigorous automotive and customer standards.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Key Qualifications & Skills)
- Proficiency in CAD software is essential for this role.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, particularly in an NPD environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 supplier or OEM).
- A deep understanding of seat trim development and pattern making is a significant advantage.
- Expert-level knowledge of the PPAP process
and other automotive quality standards (APQP, FMEA). - Knowledge of
automotive airbag seam technology
is highly beneficial. - Strong
material knowledge in technical textiles
