**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

In the role of Procurement Specialist, you will partner with the Supply Chain Director for the Asia Distribution Center (ADC) in Rayong, Thailand and provide expertise for the Procurement Function in the following areas; budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, data modelling and analytics to drive sustained profitable business goals. You will also be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our processes and systems in support of strategic and tactical policy deployment objectives. What You'll Be Doing _(Job Responsibilities)_ :
+ Preparing and maintaining different merchandising and financial reports and records.
+ Executing on regional sourcing and procurement: obtaining the best deal possible for HACH by purchasing the highest quality equipment, raw materials and products at the lowest possible cost while taking into consideration the quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability when choosing suppliers and merchandisers.
+ Overseeing the activities and working with colleagues to manage work orders, schedules, inventory.
+ Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials in the facility.
+ Responsible for managing daily issues in materials and procurement areas.
+ Drive process improvements to achieve Policy Development goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
+ Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.
+ Create and lead PD at Gemba visual management process to support objectives.
+ Support Kanban Implementation at Gemba and execution
+ Planning and scheduling tasks over both short- and long-term periods.

Opportunity Overview
Work location: Chachoengsao, Thailand
1. Reactive Problem Solving and EMS Factory Support
+ Working with contract manufacturing resources; support analysis and integration with both suppliers and Teradyne on supplier quality issues.
+ Drive containment and CAPA to assure customer shipments can be maintained while assuring the quality of the product. This includes activities such as writing hold notices and deviations, reviewing supplier 8Ds and escalating to engineering
2. P art Qualification
+ Execute the qualification of mechanical and electromechanical components assuring the parts will meet specifications over the product life.
+ This includes activities such as supplier process audits, review of first article reports, utilizing statistical software to validate process capability and review of finish and cosmetic standards.
3. Supplier Improvement
+ Drive activities with suppliers to improve their performance over time.
+ This includes activities such as supplier system & process level audits, providing feedback to Teradyne and supplier management, regular visits to suppliers to follow up on proactive improvement initiatives as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.

+ Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
+ Fluent in English is a MUST (Written & Verbal). Chinese communication is a big plus - to communicate with China suppliers.
+ Excellent experience and strong knowledge in fabrication processes is a MUST ( machining/sheet-metal/tooling /assembly and etc ).
+ Good understanding of mechanical drawings (Tolerance, GD &T etc.)
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in design/manufacturing/operations and/or working with suppliers.
+ Good understanding of quality concepts.
+ Experience in theory and practical application of quality tools (Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, 8D etc.)
+ Experience with and working knowledge of both mechanical and electromechanical components (cable assemblies, power supplies, pneumatic, molding/casting etc.) is a big plus.
+ Supplier audit/development experience is a big plus.
+ Experience in supplier/part qualification is a plus.
+ Experience in high mix low volume industry is preferred.

+ Able to travel as necessary to suppliers or other Teradyne sites.

+ Drive MOQ and LT reduction to shorten LT, control RM, GIT, WIP and FG stock to meet net inventory target to achieve DOH and ITO goal
**Planning**
+ Manage GDC FCST and BP, draft master plan for whole plant including HC plan, OT plan, shifts plan, materials planning
+ Monitor order process and production planning to make sure make-to-order flow execution; draft BP base on materials availability to make sure no interruption for production line
+ Enhance production planning execution and solve 4M issues with MFG in order to achieve foot rate;
+ Arrange suitable life transfer plan to eliminate efficiency loss during line change
**Communication and service**
+ Act as window between sales/CCP/DC and factory, track the trend of orders and inform from sales/CCP/DC/master planning to make BP priority to reflect market demand fluctuation.
+ Maintain relationship with customers including feedback collection, con-calls preparation and organization, complaints solving during delivery in order to meet customers' requirements.
**Continous Improvement (TEOA)**
Involve and initiate TEOA planning-related project in order to improve process efficiency.
**What your background should look like**
+ Bachelor and above Degree specialised in Supply Chain Management from a reputed college or university
+ 10+ years of material management experience
