**Summary**
The Technical Project Leader (Hardware & Software) - Lead Engineer, Electrical Design will lead project activities from project quotation, technical proposal, cost analysis, timeline breakdown, test plan and test strategy. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed.

**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Lead project activities programs during all phases of the design process, including technical oversight of assigned test engineers.
+ Design, develop and implement technical solutions. Coordinate with other engineers including reviews of their work.
+ Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. e.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
+ Develop test plans to address testing requirements provided by a requesting organization. Test plans include test equipment concept, procedures, cost estimate, etc.
+ Coordinate with the requesting organizations to ensure the planned testing will meet their needs.
+ Review and interpret customer documentation, conduct appropriate research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.
+ Creates technical proposals (solution and timelines) based on requirements.
+ Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems
+ Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
+ Analyze and interpret data and information
+ Recommend modifications for systems
+ Create reports and documentation
+ Make presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Maintains global or regional responsibility for a group of commodities including **packaging, labels and die-cut** for price/value determination, product and/or service negotiations, terms and conditions.
+ Develops and implements a procurement strategy for the commodities they manage including competitive, technology direction, supplier analysis, development and selection and pricing strategy.
+ Assess suppliers' design and production capability to ensure it meets Celestica's requirements
+ Conduct supplier audit to ensure quality system is in place and implement effectively and maintain quality report in the system
+ Ensure supplier's part qualification completed according to the project timeline and fulfilled Celestica and customers' requirements
+ Drive suppliers' continuous improvement
+ Acts as primary interface with Celestica's suppliers for all relationship management, contract negotiation issues, establishing business framework for transactions, performance reviews, business development and supplier awards programs.
+ Sources all products and services, maintaining a continuity of supply, while delivering the lowest cost component or service solution.
+ Leads the Commodity Council Corporate negotiation teams, individually as required or the Customer Material Commitment process through materials pricing and Customer BOM analysis.
+ Provides site direction and performance reporting for cost analysis to senior management.
+ Conducts strategic analysis on pricing, the market, suppliers, customers, competitors, contracts and long-term agreements.
+ Performs bid activity for sensitive/highly visible complex bids.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Must have **ISO9001** experience, certified auditor is a plus
+ Knowledge and working experience in **ISO14000** and **ISO13485**
+ Extensive knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends.
+ Strong knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to learn and use multiple applications specific to this department including ERP and office systems - ETQ and Power BI experiences is a plus.
+ Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
+ Strong knowledge of negotiation practices / methodology for commodities.
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
+ Excellent Command in English Communications
