Accounting Services Director
will oversee the full accounting function of Acclime Thailand, including client service delivery and internal operations. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage client portfolios, ensure the quality of accounting and tax services, develop and motivate staff, and provide executive-level financial insights. The Accounting Services Director will partner closely with the Managing Director to achieve departmental revenue and profit goals, strengthen client satisfaction, and build a high-performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management & Service
- Manage a portfolio of key clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and timely resolution of issues.
- Act as a direct point of contact for client escalations, demonstrating strong communication skills and professionalism.
- Provide expert advice on accounting and tax matters to clients and internal teams.
- Represent the firm in meetings with tax authorities for complex cases, offering clarity and authoritative explanations.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain strong knowledge of
Thai accounting standards, IFRS, and tax regulations
. - Provide guidance to managers and staff on complex accounting and tax matters.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and internal policies.
Strategic & Financial
- Monitor and manage the revenue and profitability of the Accounting Services department, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Review departmental budgets, control expenses, and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Analyze issues and trends, new services lines opportunity, propose solutions, and present recommendations to the Managing Director.
- Continuously adapt and adjust operational strategies to address evolving challenges.
Leadership & Management
- Oversee and manage the Accounting Services department, including client-facing services and internal accounting operations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to managers and accounting staff, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
- Support employee development through coaching, career pathing, and performance evaluations, including salary review considerations.
- Foster a motivating and inclusive work environment to improve retention, engagement, and overall team performance.
- Build a strong, resilient team culture and control employee turnover through proactive people management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in
Accounting, Finance
, or related field. - CPA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting/tax experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in
accounting, financial reporting, and Thai tax compliance. - Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a business-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in
