BANKING SPECIALIST CUM INTERNAL ACCOUNTANT

About the Role:

The Oversea Banking Specialist & Internal Accountant manages and oversees the financial operations, ensuring smooth

international financial transactions while maintaining strict compliance with both local and international financial regulations.

This role involves managing international banking relationships, monitoring foreign exchange transactions, preparing financial

reports for overseas operations, and supporting overall financial strategy within the organization. The role combines both

international banking and internal accounting responsibilities to ensure efficient financial operations across the global business landscape.

Responsibilities:

A. International Banking & Financial Transactions:

Manage international banking transactions, including wire transfers, international payments, and foreign currency exchanges.

  • Monitor and reconcile foreign exchange transactions and international bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Oversee and manage payments and receipts from international clients or vendors.

Liaise with international banks, foreign subsidiaries, and external stakeholders for financial reporting, problem resolution, and operational coordination.

B. Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare, review, and ensure compliance with financial reports for overseas operations, adhering to local and international financial regulations.

Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for global operations.

Perform intercompany reconciliations between the head office and foreign branches to ensure accurate financial data across entities.

  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits of international accounts and entities.

C. Internal Accounting & Financial Strategy:

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the integrity of financial data.

Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Monitor accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accuracy in vendor invoicing and internal accounting records.

Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports for internal management and external reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in banking or financial services, particularly managing overseas transactions.

  • Strong understanding of international finance, foreign exchange, and international banking operations.

  • Familiarity with global financial regulations, compliance standards, and local tax laws.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.

  • Strong analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex financial data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across international teams and with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
