About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on
DC Director
to lead operations in our 30,000 sqm retail warehouse. This warehouse manages diverse picking processes for multiple clients, adding to its operational complexity. The role requires a leader who deeply understands every aspect of warehouse management and can scale operations from 500 to 1,000 staff as capacity grows.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the entire warehouse operation, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to manage multiple picking units effectively.
- Continuously improve workflows, optimizing processes for receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Scale workforce planning to support warehouse expansion to full capacity (1,000+ staff).
- Drive cost-efficiency while maintaining high operational standards.
Hands-On Execution & Problem-Solving
- Be actively present on the warehouse floor, understanding and solving real-time operational challenges.
- Ensure smooth picking and distribution despite the complexity of handling multiple companies with different picking units.
- Manage peak demand fluctuations with strong contingency planning.
- Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and warehouse best practices.
People Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse managers and supervisors, ensuring strong execution at all levels.
- Establish clear KPIs and hold teams accountable for performance and efficiency.
- Build a high-performance culture where all staff understand the importance of accuracy, speed, and service quality.
- Champion a collaborative and problem-solving mindset within the warehouse.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and commercial teams to align warehouse operations with business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement campus-wide strategies aligned with GDS International's business objectives and growth plans

Operational Excellence

Job Description
- Lead business development activities and capture new contracts across all data centre service lines (project management consulting, cost & commercial management, principal delivery) in the Thailand market. Drive revenue and profit growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities with hyperscale operators, colocation providers and investor clients.
- Build, manage and mentor high-performing teams of project and cost managers. Provide clear direction, coaching and support to ensure projects are delivered efficiently. Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team.
- Oversee planning and execution of data centre projects in Thailand. Ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met. Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that all project teams uphold company's standards of excellence, collaboration, and integrity. Deliver outstanding client service and maintain.
- Be accountable for achieving or exceeding annual revenue, margin and profitability targets for the data centre sector in Thailand. Monitor project and financial performance and take proactive actions to drive results.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the Asia Regional Data Centre team to align on strategic objectives. Share insights, methodologies and best practices across the region.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction manager, or a related field (master's degree is a plus). Professional certification (e.g., PMI/PMP, CEng, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in project management, programme management or cost management, ideally within the data centre sector or similar complex technical infrastructure projects. Experience working with hyperscale cloud providers, colocation operators or large data centre investors is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of data centre design, construction and operations (including power, cooling, and IT infrastructure). Up to date with industry trends (e.g. sustainability, AI/ML requirements). Able to anticipate client needs and deliver technical solutions.
- Experience working in Thailand and/or other ASEAN markets. Knowledge of local market conditions, regulations and business culture is highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of data centre design, construction and operations (including power, cooling, and IT infrastructure). Up to date with industry trends (e.g. sustainability, AI/ML requirements). Able to anticipate client needs and deliver technical solution.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Thai.

The Director, Data Center Quality Commissioning is a leadership role, responsible for leading their teams responsible for managing and implementing the commissioning process for all Global Data Center facilities on time and on budget.
The process is designed to identify and resolve issues early in the design and construction process to ensure reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness of Global Data Center projects.
This role leads their team in commissioning in-house projects and also overseeing third-party commissioning agents as they are engaged in Global Data Center projects.
**Key responsibilities:**
+ Primary responsibility for the leadership of Global Data Center commissioning projects.
+ Manages data center commissioning project delivery strategy in alignment with the road map strategy.
+ Drives the project Commissioning process including scope and schedule.
+ Ensures the development of Commissioning Procedures and Standards.
+ Refines practices/policies and develops methods/techniques for driving solutions including development of commissioning procedures.
+ Manages the contracted Commissioning Agent assigned to a Data Center construction Project.
+ Leads and provides coaching and mentorship to their broader Commissioning team(s).
+ Performs construction site inspections to review QA/QC and commissioning process.
+ Regularly reviews Construction Progress, QA/QC, Commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to report to senior leadership.
+ Coordinates meetings and activities of vendor project managers including integration of lessons learned.
+ Attends scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day operations of their team(s) and is responsible for coaching, mentoring, developing and motivating their team(s) to achieve key goals and objectives.

+ Significant technical Knowledge of MEP systems.

+ Ability to coordinate, supervise, and communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on these systems.
+ Ability to logically analyze and solve problems.
+ Ability to effectively multi-task multiple projects.
+ Ability to stay abreast with date center quality commissioning trends and best practices.
+ Significant knowledge relating to critical facilities and data center construction.
+ Significant understanding of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and critical mechanical systems.
+ Able to develop and write detailed commissioning Scripts.
+ Significant ability to influence and problem solve challenging situations.
+ Significant project management skills.
+ Significant proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio, MS Project.
**Academic qualifications and certifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or Quality/Commissioning, or related field.
+ Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation from Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
**Required experience:**
+ Significant experience in a data center environment managing projects/operations.
+ Significant experience in data center commissioning.
+ Significant data center construction project management.
+ Significant experience in data center facility maintenance, operation and/or commissioning.
+ Demonstrated experience in Electrical and Mechanical Test Equipment.
