Overview
We are seeking a
hands-on Electrical & Controls Engineer
to primarily lead the electrical scope of automation equipment in Thailand while take on customer-facing and global coordination activities for solar microgrid projects as needed. You'll design PLC/HMI controls, build and wire MDB/panels, and drive system integrations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth in electrical and controls engineering, be fluent in English for global collaboration, and have the flexibility to support deployments in both equipment and renewable energy applications.
Key Responsibilities
1) Equipment & Electrical Controls
(Primary Focus)
- Design, program, and troubleshoot
PLC-based control systems
(LD/ST/FBD). - Develop
HMI
for safe, intuitive operation and alarms/trends. - Design and commission
MDBs/electrical panels
, including wiring, load calculations, and power distribution. - Select, size, and integrate
electrical components
(contactors, breakers, relays, sensors, power supplies, motors, etc.). - Produce, document, and maintain
schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs

2) System Integration & Data

networking and safety interlocks

3) Microgrid Support
(Secondary Scope)
- Provide
technical input/review
on solar microgrid solutions for Thailand projects. - Support
pilot deployments and field installations
(transport/mobile applications). - Serve as a
technical interface
with Thai customers and
coordinate with the global microgrid team
for design alignment. - Assist with on-site
commissioning/troubleshooting
and preparing concise technical updates.
4) Collaboration
- Work closely with
Thailand engineering
R&D teams to deliver projects on time. - Partner with procurement on
component sourcing
; provide technical input for vendor comparison when needed. - Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; document decisions and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in
Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics

· Participate in site Environmental Health and safety programs, behavioral based safety, Hazard Recognition, Hazard identification, Environmental Aspect, emergency response, audits and emergency response activities as required.

3 QUALIFICATIONS
3.1 Education / Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field.
· –5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (internship/co-op experience is a plus).
· Familiarity with electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
· Exposure to SAP or other maintenance systems is an advantage.
· Experience as multi-craft maintenance supervisor preferred but not required.
· Hands-on experience in chemical industry and food processing is preferred.
3.2 Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
· Strong willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on engineering role.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
