Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Closely and accurately follow the guidance and expectations of the teacher to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children and create positive relationships with their parents/carers
- Work collaboratively with all staff demonstrating high levels of teamwork and cooperation
- Implement the daily routine and maintain a high-quality learning environment both indoors and outdoors under the guidance of the Teacher/Year Group leader
- Provide care for children, follow schedules and routines, support with snack and meal times, changing nappies, tidying outside areas and cleaning rooms and toys
- Develop and encourage age-appropriate learning and socialisation to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
- Maintain a safe workplace by supervising children closely at all times monitoring for health, behavioural, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff

- Set up and clear indoor and outdoor areas and resources on a daily basis under the direction of Teacher/Group Leader and report and maintenance or health and safety issues as necessary

- Recognise when children are in danger of risk or harm, take action to protect them and report any concerns to relevant staff
- Be punctual, following the expected times of day (7.00am-4.00pm) and adhering to leave and absence procedures
