Job Description

To work as part of the assigned group/class/area with the staff team to meet the needs of the children. Assist staff and parents by preparing resources and the play/learning spaces for children, maintaining their hygiene, monitoring health, behavioural, and emotional concerns, providing them with age-appropriate instruction and working with the Teachers and Teaching Assistants to ensure that children are safe, nurtured and learning and socialising in a positive way.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Closely and accurately follow the guidance and expectations of the teacher to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children and create positive relationships with their parents/carers
  • Work collaboratively with all staff demonstrating high levels of teamwork and cooperation
  • Implement the daily routine and maintain a high-quality learning environment both indoors and outdoors under the guidance of the Teacher/Year Group leader
  • Provide care for children, follow schedules and routines, support with snack and meal times, changing nappies, tidying outside areas and cleaning rooms and toys
  • Develop and encourage age-appropriate learning and socialisation to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by supervising children closely at all times monitoring for health, behavioural, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff

  • Set up and clear indoor and outdoor areas and resources on a daily basis under the direction of Teacher/Group Leader and report and maintenance or health and safety issues as necessary

  • Recognise when children are in danger of risk or harm, take action to protect them and report any concerns to relevant staff
  • Be punctual, following the expected times of day (7.00am-4.00pm) and adhering to leave and absence procedures

  • Attend meetings and training or professional development courses as required

Job Description

Position: Early Years Learning Assistant

Location: British Early Years Centre (BEYC), Bangkok

Salary: THB 25,000 Per Calendar Month

(possibility to make up to an extra 6,000 - 8,000THB per month by doing an after school club)

Start Date:Immediate & January 2026

The School:

At BEYC, we are dedicated to providing exceptional Early Years education to children aged 2-6 years old. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Learning Assistant to join our team and contribute to the holistic development of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to support the educational and social development of early years pupils.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualised support as needed.
  • Facilitate small group activities independently, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to positive behaviour management strategies across the school.
  • Provide support for students with additional social, emotional, or physical needs.
  • Assist in student assessment and documentation.
  • Maintain a well-organised and engaging classroom environment.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and development activities as required.
  • Assist in parental communication, offering translation support in Thai when necessary.
  • Fulfil any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or class teacher.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience working with early years children (aged 2-6).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation abilities.
  • Adaptable, efficient, and organised approach to work.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards in an educational setting.
  • Active participation in professional development.
  • Confident and enthusiastic, with a passion for working with young children.
  • Toeic score of 800+.
