Environmental Engineer (Power Plant Construction Project – Thailand)

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in accordance with local regulations and international standards (e.g., IFC, ISO 14001)

Conduct regular site inspections, environmental monitoring, and audits to ensure compliance with air, water, waste, and noise control requirements

Liaise with regulatory authorities for permits, reporting, and inspections

Prepare and submit environmental reports, including EIA follow-up, waste manifests, and monitoring summaries

Support the project team in identifying and mitigating environmental risks during construction activities

Coordinate training and awareness programmes for project personnel and subcontractors on environmental protection measures

Work closely with HSE, Construction, and QA/QC teams to promote a strong environmental culture on-site

· Ensure compliance with the Factory Act, Hazardous Substance Act, and Enhancement and Conservation of National Environmental Quality Act (NEQA)

· Liaise with local authorities (e.g. Pollution Control Department – PCD, Department of Industrial Works – DIW) for environmental permits and reporting
