Qualifications

- Minimum 7–10 years of EHS management experience, ideally within data center, mission-critical facilities, engineering, or construction industries.

This position is a key member of Bangkok Plant Environment Health and Safety Team, responsible to establish, plan, manage, and operate to achieve the Environment Health and Safety objectives and goals by occupational health and safety management system in Bangkok Plant. Responsibilities in the areas of environment, occupational health safety and sustainability in supporting the smoothly factory operation.
RESPONSIBILITY
1. Promote employees on occupational health and safety awareness
- To Manage, plan and operate to achieve the objectives and goals of the environmental, occupational health and safety management system.
- To implement safety and help activities in order to increase the employee participation on safety matters and safety awareness e.g. S&H exhibition, S&H suggestion, S&H motto contest, etc.
- Continually conduct and improve S&H activities to ensure that all staff aware working safely on their responsibility.
- Advise management on safety improvement program with continuously.
2. Compliance with legal obligations
- To advise and assist the management, head of department and other persons involved in planning, organizing, controlling and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for work and study.
- To develop the area safety and health policy, organization and arrangements in consultation with managers and staff.
- To review and develop the area safety and health management plan and communicate the plan at all levels.
- Maintain the area risk register and ensure that risk assessments are completed for all activities with significant risks.
3. Support for department
- To advise and support the safety and health committee, in making sure that the committee takes ownership of the area safety and health management plan.
- To seek support and work closely with all department on safety and health matter.
- To advise head of department in ensuring that their area has key staff appointed to carry out the health and safety functions e.g. risk identification and assessment.
4. Accident investigation and prevention
- To receive and investigate reports of accidents, dangerous occurrences and fire damage, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls.
- To monitor that all accidents are properly investigated by concerned persons and that lessons learnt are shared across the area and with their department.
- To maintain a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, accidents and dangerous occurrences.
- To provide statistical summaries to the area safety and health committee and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences.
5. Training
- Plan, prepare and evaluate the effectiveness of appropriate occupational health and environment training for employees, and collect data.
- To identify the training needs of staff and liaise with managers to nominate staff for training courses.
- To conduct the training as per training needs and safety corporate requirement including to ensure that comply on legal requirement.
- To monitor staff training, and report on training targets to the management and department head.
6. Work environment
- Ensure fire arrangements are maintained in good order and fire drills are carried out on all their premises.
- Monitor and evaluate the potential hazard on working area or coordinate with authority department to conduct the monitoring program.
7. Proactive monitoring
- Prepare and coordinate the safety and health audit, and the audit process. Monitor that audit recommendations are being implemented within agreed timescales.
- Monitor safety performance through internal audits and develop the line supervisor proactive reporting system.
8. Communication

QUALIFICATIONS

- 15+ years' experience in the environment, occupational health and safety field and 5+ years' experience in management position
- Proficient knowledge of Management System Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc.)
- Good record of work experience in relevant manufacturing industry e.g. HVAC, Machine/Equipment industry
- Fluent in English
- Experience with green energy and sustainable projects is a plus
- Must have a professional occupational safety officer certificate, Environmental professional license
- Experience as lead auditor in ISO14001 / ISO45001 is beneficial
- A certificate in Water, Waste, or Air Pollution Control from the Industrial Department, as well as a certificate for being an Energy Conservation Responsible Person, is a plus.
