Job Purpose

Responsible for the design, development, and integration of avionics and electrical systems in aircraft projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, airworthiness regulations, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, analyze, and integrate avionics and electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, harness routing, and system interfaces.

· Develop electrical load analysis, power distribution, and grounding/bonding design.

· Generate and review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

· Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (RTCA DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761, or equivalent).

· Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and systems engineering teams to ensure proper integration of avionics and electrical systems.

· Conduct system-level integration, verification, and validation testing.

· Support installation, troubleshooting, and certification activities during prototype build and flight testing.

· Work with suppliers, OEMs, and certification authorities to meet program requirements.

· Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

· –7 years of experience in avionics/electrical system design and integration.

· Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, avionics interfaces (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN bus, Ethernet), and power distribution.

· Proficiency in electrical design tools (e.g., CATIA Electrical, Capital Harness, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN).

· Familiarity with certification requirements (EASA CS-23/25, FAA Part 23/25, or equivalent).

· Hands-on experience with system integration, wiring harness design, and troubleshooting.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job role functions

• Lead the electrical design including MV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, grounding, and lighting systems.
• Review and validate electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.

• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier standards, local regulations, and client requirements.
