The Systems Engineering and Integration Manager (SEIM) will be embedded in the BEM engineering team and play a crucial and proactive role in the supervision and oversight of the overall development and delivery of the Orange Line project, including the railway mechanical and electrical systems, the civil works, the building engineering systems and their overall integration.
The SEIM shall oversee the complete process of systems integration on the Orange Line East and West sections between all sub-contractors and stakeholders and shall be responsible and accountable for successful systems integration testing. The SIM shall lead BEM's engineering team in systems integration and will work closely with BEM's operations and maintenance and safety and quality departments, among others to ensure systems integration is completed on time and the systems have been fully integrated for normal, degraded and emergency operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Integration Office
- Responsible for the establishment of a system integration office, with representatives from all system/sub-system functional areas (including Sub-Contractors personnel) and Systems Assurance Managers from the various stakeholders.
- Systems Integration Oversight
- Responsible for oversight of system development and integration processes implemented across infrastructure and sub-systems from the different sub-contractors including civil works in accordance with ISO 15288, EN 50126/8/9.
- Development of detailed schedules plans and procedures for the integration of the infrastructure, track works, systems and sub-systems ensuring alignment with the project's timelines and milestones, as well as review of schedules, plans and procedures developed by sub-contractors and stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of system integration schedules, plans and methodologies from sub constrators and stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and operation of the ORL Project East and West sections and ensuring the east section operates without disruptions from west section installation, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
- Development and management of interface control documentation (Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS), Interface Control Documentation (ICD) and Interface Design Specifications (IDD) with support of the subcontractors and stakeholders Systems Assurance Managers and Engineering Managers.
- Overall responsibility for management of integrated Verification and Validation (V&V) activities (off-site integration testing, IFAT, Systems Integration Testing (SIT) etc.), with support from the subcontractors and stakeholders System Assurance Managers and the Testing & Commissioning Managers.
- Systems Integration Office
- Develop comprehensive test plans, including test cases, procedures, and schedules for systems integration testing as well as review from the sub contractors and stakeholders.
- Conduct and supervise the execution of all systems integration testing activities, ensuring that infrastructure and sub-systems meet functional and safety requirements.
- Analyse test results, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Supervision:
- Continuously monitoring sub-contractors' and stakeholders' performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications, technical and quality standards, and deadlines.
- Develop, implement and manage effective communication and coordination between MRTA, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and manage processes to ensure that all contractors and stakeholders comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
- Collaboration
- Engage with subcontractors and key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers to align system integration activities with overall project goals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team, and other BEM departments fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Documentation
- Prepare detailed reports on systems integration design, processes, test results, project progress, and issues encountered.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all integration activities, including technical specifications, test plans, and corrective actions taken
- Problem Resolution
- Identify and analyse systems integration issues, developing effective solutions to resolve them promptly.
- Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance system integration processes and outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all infrastructure, systems and sub-systems comply with relevant regulatory and safety standards, conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Manage the certification process for systems integration ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained from MRTA and/or its consultants to issue the Proof of Safety with respect to Systems Integration.
- Project Management
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring all integration activities are completed on time.
- Provide input on the allocation of resources to ensure the right personnel and materials are available for integration tasks.
- Risk Management
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential systems integration issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Continuously monitor and manage risks throughout the systems integration process.

Make a difference as Senior Project Engineering Manager, Thailand
As Senior Project Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop Thailand's project engineering team to deliver all capital projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will ensure execution to Ingredion's global standards while providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role that directly supports Ingredion's growth, operational excellence, and long-term competitiveness.
What You Will Do
- Provide strategic planning to align capital projects with business strategy and milestones
- Oversee project management for all major capital projects, from budgeting and planning to execution and resource management
- Deliver projects to Ingredion standards, providing technical expertise and consultation throughout the lifecycle
- Establish and maintain Thailand engineering standards aligned with global corporate guidelines
- Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking against best practices and implementing innovative solutions
- Lead, coach, and develop project engineering team members to maximize their potential and performance
- Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous learning across the team
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Engineering
- Minimum 15 years' experience in engineering and project management within a multinational environment
- Proven track record managing projects over USD 10MM, preferably in similar industries
- Experience in both capital projects and line operations management
- Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multiple levels

Task and Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle execution of CAPEX projects across all sites (4 sites)
- Plan and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to meet strategic goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, local/international consultants, and corporate teams.
- Ensure site readiness, oversee construction safety, and manage installation and commissioning.
- Supervise control system programming and commissioning for operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on process improvements, engineering design, equipment selection, and control systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including plant operations, maintenance, finance, and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
- 15+ years in engineering & project management in a multinational environment
- Proven hands-on experience in CAPEX project management within food, chemical, or engineering firms.
- Ability to manage multiple site projects with frequent travel and on-site execution.
- Strong leadership skills, including guiding and developing project teams.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, Primavera).
