**Job Summary:**
If you are software engineer, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a senior service engineer. This role will work independently and as a part of a team to develop and implement manual and automated control system also responsible for providing support and service to our customers. You will participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents. You will also be responsible for working with global support team.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Provide technical solution to Control System's performance to meet customers' specific application.
+ Control System troubleshooting and Modification at customers' site.
+ Train customers, provide technical instruction and assistance to customer regarding the installation, commissioning, operation, repair and maintenance of Control System.
+ Provide feedback to divisions on customers' experience, division products quality issue and any improvement suggestion.
+ Timely submission of service report and solutions provided to the customers.
+ Assignment product special list with Process Level for support System & Software solution Thailand and cooperate with service or special list of AP.
+ Interacting heavily with the proposals, engineering and sales team, Work sites include petrochemical plants, refineries, etc.

+ Able to articulate the system technical/application offerings and its differentiation.

Job Description

Drive Flawless Launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with Launch STA team (Ex: Schedule A, PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), Supplier Quality Issues resolution). Escalate significant issues promptly and 'date to green' plan to appropriate management

Conduct onsite evaluation visits for Priority commodities as per GPDS supplier engagement process for new programs
-
Support Capacity Purchase team in capacity studies interfacing with suppliers and Ford cross-functional teams
-
Review supplier incremental tooling work plans compliance to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements
-
Drive capacity/uplift actions implementation with suppliers inline with the GCP study requirements
-
Drive Supplier Process capacity issues resolution as needed - Production constraint risk mitigation working with Ford and Supplier teams and manage "date to green" plan
-
Monitor supply status of 24/7 roster suppliers and Blue bar status of PPAPs beyond implementation timing
-
Review supplier Capacity Analysis Reports (CAR) for compliance to uplift capacity requirements
-
Drive robust Supplier Failure Mode Avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, CP reviews, Manufacturing feasibility reviews and Health chart deployment as applicable

Drive Supplier manufacturing health chart compliance and support development of new health charts
-
Drive suppliers for Special process compliance with the support of STA Technical Specialists

Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence with the assigned sites through Q1-MSA deployment, Q1 attainment/ retention, Health chart deployment, Supplier training as required.

Drive deployment & improvement of Quality performance requirements (Q1, QR, TGW, R/1000, CPU), through Warranty Reduction, Benchmarking, Lean Manufacturing, G8D (Global 8 Disciplines) methodology, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), etc.) as required

Drive new supplier site evaluations and Supplier Risk Assessment on new sourcing in support of GCST, identifying Risk Mitigation.

Drive closure of supplier process Quality issues related to Stop Ship/Build, BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects and Field Action Stop Ship/Prevent Action

Drive compliance to all organizational and corporate training requirements and SIM process compliance.

**Education / Knowledge**
**Educational Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree: A degree in relevant engineering stream(s) or equivalent is required such as Mechanical/Metallurgy/Matl. Science & Engg/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical & Electronics/Polymer Science/Mechatronics/Chemical/Automobile/Aerospace/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation
**Core skill set:**
+ Manufacturing: Hands on experience and good knowledge in handling Powertrain parts and processes such as but not limited to Aluminium casting, Iron castings, Forgings, Welding, Brazing, Machining, Assembly processes, Plating, Coating, Ferrous Matl, Non-ferrous Matl, Stainless steel, etc.
+ Knowledge in handling Electrified Powertrain parts, Cell manufacturing, Battery pack, Mechatronics parts, DC-DC convertor, Voltage Boost Inductor, ETB, Sensors, etc. are an added advantage
+ Knowledge in handling special processes such as Casting/Heat treatment/Welding/Brazing/Assembly/Contamination control/Machining are an added advantage
+ Automotive Standards: Familiar with Automotive Industry standard, tools, and techniques such as but not limited to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, CQI, etc.
**Other skill set:**
+ Data Analysis Software: Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, ppt, statistical analysis software) - Preferred
+ Engineering drawings and specs: Proficient in reading and understanding the 2D engineering drawing and 3D CAD model plus the engineering specs - Preferred
+ Simulation Tools: Familiarity with casting, forging, welding, assembly simulation tools and CAE stress analysis - Optional
+ Hands on experience in managing the supplier partners for both domestic and global exports customers.
+ Ability to work with diverse Ford Motor internal teams and supplier partners towards achieving the common goals on quality, capacity and launch
**Automotive core tools knowledge:**
+ Knowledgeable in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC),Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), G8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure analysis/investigation, Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), Supplier Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Ford Motor Q1
**Key Experience:**
**Industry Experience:**
+ Relevant work experience in Automotive/Non-Automotive OEM or T1 or Sub-tier from Product Development/Application Engineering/Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering/Quality/Supplier Development/Supplier Quality/Program Management/etc.
+ Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, monitoring, and execution
**Problem-Solving Skills:**
+ Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions. 8D Process, 6 Sigma
**Communication Skills:**
+ Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
+ Proficient in both English and Thai language - Read, Write, Speak. Knowing Chinese is a preferred advantage
**Continuous Learning:**
+ Industry Trends: Awareness of current trends and advancements in Automotive technologies
+ Professional Development: Commitment to continuous professional development through training, certifications, and Industry conferences
+ Inclination to learn - upskill, and acquire the new skill set as deemed necessary to cope up with the changing/emerging Industry needs
Note: The Site STA job requires frequent travel to suppliers located in Thailand and occasionally outside of Thailand as well. Overall, the job involves an estimated travel time up to 80%. The job also involves working on different time zones from time-to-time to manage the global business needs.
