**A DAY IN THE LIFE .**
+ Cascade and execute the production plans and objectives and adjust operational activities by situation assessment according to available information and resources for best production efficiency.
+ Set up and execute trainings and update the shop floor operators on production principles, quality, safety and environmental, etc.
+ Prepare necessary information for standard audits: HACCP, ISO 9001, NGMP, FPL, etc.
+ Control the production cost by managing available production resources (material usage, manpower, machine utilization etc.) and in line with Nestle standards.
+ Ensure the production is properly executed to manufacture goods in line with the set standards.
+ Co-ordinate with others departments in production related activities such as trials and new product development.
+ Find out and execute proper solutions or corrective actions to prevent the re-occurrence of deviation, found in operations. Inform the superior in case of major or complicated problems.
+ Coordinate with related department on daily basis to ensure smooth production operations, such as RMP, filling &packing, QA etc.
+ Lead, guide, provide suggestions to the team and /or task force team for productivity, efficiency improvement and/or others special assignments.
+ Coach the team on production knowledge, technology and standard production practices.
+ Monitor work safety and hygienic conditions in the production lines/areas.
+ Determine and forecast the annual production budget, manpower and strategic plans.
+ Communicate information flows from the management to the shop floor and vice versa.
**ARE YOU A FIT?**
+ 5-10 years' experience in production or maintenance, food manufacturing business is preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of food processing unit and equipment.
+ Experience in managing & supervising a team.
+ Proficient level of communication in English

**Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced **SMT Manufacturing Engineer** to lead and optimize our surface mount technology operations. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of hands-on expertise in high-volume electronics manufacturing, with a deep understanding of SMT processes, equipment, and quality systems. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement, ensuring process stability, and supporting new product introductions (NPI).
**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Support the company technology roadmaps and be up to date with the latest SMT industry trends and emerging technologies.
+ Lead the introduction, development, qualification and optimization of new products, equipment, processes and materials in SMT manufacturing.
+ Initiate new equipment evaluation, specification, selection and qualification (e.g., pick-and-place, reflow ovens, Plasma, AOI, SPI,.etc).
+ Lead new processes evaluation and characterization through comprehensive Design of Experiments.
+ Drive process improvements using Lean-Six-Sigma, statistical process control (SPC) and best known methodologies.
+ Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
+ Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, work instructions, and control plans.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and new products introduction, development and flawless launch.
+ Ensure compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and ISO quality systems.
+ Support audits, customer visits, and technical reviews.
+ Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Proven expertise in SMT processes development and troubleshooting, (e.g. paste printing, pick and place, automated inspection, wave soldering.etc)
+ Familiarity with industry-standard equipment (e.g., Fuji, ASM, DEK, Vitronics, Koh Young).
+ Strong knowledge of quality tools (DOE, FMEA, 8D, SPC).
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
**Preferred Certifications**
+ IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 Certification
+ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
+ SMTA Process Engineer Certification
**Typical Experience**
+ Minimum **10 years of experience** in SMT manufacturing engineering within a high-volume electronics environment.
**Typical Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred)
