**Job Overview**

**Planning and Budgeting**
Initiate and execute annual EHS & S improvement project plan, EHS & S training plan, EHS & S internal audit plan and annual EHS & S budget
**People Management & Development**
Allocate and balance work across direct reports, review and provide timely performance feedback to subordinate, coach, guide, develop and motivate them, help to resolve functional issues in the team, submit manpower request and interview candidates in order to achieve targeted function performance goal.
Develop skills of direct reports and others with EHS & S responsibilities in the organization.
**EHS Structure & Program Management**
Build action plans for the implementation of the organization's EHS & S programs and take a leadership role in execution in order to deliver the organization's EHS & S goals and strategy.
o Setting up strong Safety Frst culture.
o Establish and develop procedures and teams for driving EHS improvements and managing EHS programs.
o Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with, influence and promote EHS culture.
o Follow up internal and external audit to verify EHS performance and continue improvement.
o Maintein ISO14001 and TEOA Env.compliance tools.
o Ensure safety of construction projects in the Thailand Erni site.
o Ensure safety of plant moving, including but not limited to moving IND equipment out and DDN equipment in. As well as its installation and commissioning safety
**Reporting**
Implement below tasks in order to meet the requirements of reporting.
o Report related required EHS&S data to site,BU management, BU EHS and Corporate EHS.
o Report related EHS&S data required based on applicable legal regulations and TE policies.
o Monitor and report organizational safety performance against TEOA Safety Tool.
o Evaluate and report environmental performance quarterly using TE environmental assessment tools.
**Sustainability and BCP**
Focus on GHG, energy, hazardous waste & scope 3 reduction.
o Track energy reducion data.
o Work with Facility team to identify opportunities of energy reduction.
o Coordinate business contunity plan of DG site.
o Follow BU, Seg and Corp policy and lead scope 3 reduction of the site
**What your background should look like**
+ University degree or equivalent level of qualification in safety, health,environmental,chemical, mechanical or related technical discipline
+ Thailand government required qualification as company EHS manager is a MUST
+ Professional EHS Certification preferred.
+ Minimum 8+ years EHS experience required.
+ Minimum 5+ years experience in EHS management in manufacturing.
+ 3+ years construction safety experience is a MUST.
+ Knowledge and experenice on scope 3 is preferred.

You will together with store management and various departments ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers, co-workers and visitors; strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our store assets; maintain an overall risk aware and control culture; and maintain compliance with internal IKEA and external legal demands. IKEA Sukhumvit will be our 4th store in Thailand and part of The Emsphere retail development on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok.

**Your assignment**
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for co-workers, customers and visitors through training, audits, and standards and national/local legal demands.
- Assist the store to meet IKEAs intended level of safety and security by achieving positive results during internal/external audits and insurance inspections.
- Co-ordinate with the store Emergency Response Team and manage the handling of any emergency cases and provide appropriate action according.
- Accountable for investigation of internal and external incidents and recommending resolution and revision of routines as necessary. Secure incidents are properly reported.
- Implement crowd management plan for peak days and proactively identify emerging risks, and ensure early involvement in new initiatives in the store.
- Be the initial point of contact when fraudulent activities or unethical behaviours (including but not limited to harassment, co-worker misconduct) are suspected or identified.
- Work together with the global Ikano Retail Risk Manager to ensure all IKEA Standards, Risk Management frameworks as well as legal demands are followed.

**Qualifications** Qualifications**
- Deep knowledge of occupational health and safety, technical security systems, fire codes, building codes, local criminal and civil laws, insurance claims, auditing and emergency response handling.
- Experience in similar role in retail or related industries (minimum of 8 years).
- Experience in managing fire control centre and security guards.
- Ability to influence and develop people and act as a role model and coach.
- Ability to react confidently to critical situations and act appropriately to minimise risks to the business and people.
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in Thai and in English (written and verbally) and influence when divergent interests.
- High level of personal integrity and fast perception and ability to implement requests at short notice.
