Job Summary
The Global Sales Director is responsible for developing the strategy and managing all sales activities worldwide to drive revenue growth and expand market share in alignment with the company's objectives. This role requires a visionary leader capable of inspiring and managing a globally distributed sales team, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with key international partners and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Sales Strategy Development:
1.1 Develop and implement comprehensive short-term and long-term global sales strategies that align with the company's vision and business goals.
1.2 Analyze global market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities to continually refine and optimize sales strategies.
2. Team Leadership & Management:
2.1 Lead, motivate, and manage regional sales teams (e.g., Americas, EMEA, APAC) to achieve and exceed sales targets.
2.2 Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching for team development.
3. Sales & Growth Driving:
3.1 Manage sales budgets, forecasting, and the P&L for the sales division.
3.2 Drive sales performance across all channels, including distributors, key accounts, and global e-commerce platforms.
4. Market & Channel Expansion:
4.1 Identify, evaluate, and penetrate new potential markets worldwide.
4.2 Develop and manage new distribution channels to increase customer reach and generate growth.
5. Partner Relationship Management:
5.1 Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners, distributors, and major accounts globally.
5.2 Lead negotiations for major international contracts and commercial agreements.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
6.1 Collaborate closely with the marketing department to develop and execute cohesive global marketing and promotional campaigns.
6.2 Provide market insights and feedback to the product development team to inform new product creation.
6.3 Coordinate with the operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production planning and product delivery.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role with international or global market responsibilities.
3. Experience in the toy, children's products, consumer goods (FMCG), or lifestyle products industry is highly desirable.
4. A proven and verifiable track record of achieving sales growth and expanding market presence on an international scale.
5. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a culturally diverse team.
6. In-depth knowledge of international trade, distribution channels, and logistics.
7. Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
8. Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and strategic planning.
9. Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Business Administration or related fields.
- Working experience as a Sales or Business Development Manager for specialty chemicals in multinational corporations.
- Good understanding of chemical products and their applications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
