Responsibilities:

·    Determine the reasonable inventory level: comprehensively consider factors such as market demand forecast, production cycle, and supply chain stability to determine the optimal inventory quantity of various automotive products and parts.

·    Optimize inventory structure: ensure that the inventory ratio of different models and different parts is reasonable. For example, for best-selling models, a relatively high inventory level should be maintained, while for slow-selling models, inventory should be reduced; at the same time, sufficient inventory of key parts should be ensured to avoid affecting vehicle production due to shortage of individual parts.

·    Control inventory costs: including storage costs, capital occupation costs, etc.

·    Optimize storage layout to reduce storage costs and reasonably arrange inventory funds to reduce capital occupation costs, etc., to achieve effective control of inventory costs.

·    Improve inventory turnover rate: speed up the circulation of parts in the warehouse and reduce inventory backlog time. For example, by optimizing production plans and sales processes, products can flow from warehouses to the market faster and improve capital utilization efficiency.

·    Inventory monitoring and adjustment: establish a real-time inventory monitoring system to keep abreast of dynamic changes in inventory.  Adjust inventory strategies at any time according to actual conditions. For example, when market demand suddenly increases, replenish inventory in a timely manner; when inventory backlogs occur, take promotional measures to speed up inventory digestion.

Qualifications:

·    A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.

·    Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.

·    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

·    Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage inventory effectively.

How You'll Make an Impact

The Inventory Control Coordinator conducts cycle count audits, researches and corrects transactions, investigates root cause, works with personnel to provide and implement solutions to findings. The Inventory Control Coordinator creates deliveries, shipments, manages the order flow of all orders at the site. Indirect procurement of supplies, services and invoicing is also included in the role.

Reporting, environmental health & safety duties, as well as supporting the site leader in various projects is part of the job function

Responsibilities Include

• Process all customer orders to meet customer requested ship dates. Communicate inventory issues that affect shipping orders in full to customer service representatives and production planners
• Conducts cycle counts and month end counts to identify and correct any issues related to inventory accuracy and material transactions. Reviews material postings and assures that materials are accurately kept.
• Investigate daily shortage report and communicate issues to customer service representatives and production planners.
• Maintain timely payment of facility purchase orders.
• Provide backup work to office/management personnel when needed
• Orders office and safety supplies
• Payroll responsibilities and reporting work
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

About the role

Join the Contract Logisitcs/ SCM team at DSV x Schenker (Thai) Ltd., a leading global logistics provider, as an Officer, Inventory Control. In this full-time position based in Bangkok, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and control of the company's inventory, supporting the overall logistics operations.

General Description:

• Execute and manage day to day inventory process in order to ensure accurate inventory, compliance of FIFO (First In First Out) product rules, and compliance of the quality specification.
• Directing operations resources to continuously check storage locations for system and physical reconciliation of inventory balance, right quantity/quality of product shipment and the accuracy recording of product transactions to support customer requirements.
• There is also cover for warehousing process control and people management, focusing on handling, KPIs of stock accuracy, together with continuous improvement, safety and security in the accordance to the compliance.

·  Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting challenges, monitoring progress, and addressing capacity constraints
