Ensure and monitor EHS & Sustainability in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices with the objective of consistence with established company, environmental and government regulations within TE Erni - Thailand. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and Budgeting

Initiate and execute annual EHS & S improvement project plan, EHS & S training plan, EHS & S internal audit plan and annual EHS & S budget

  • People Management & Development

Allocate and balance work across direct reports, review and provide timely performance feedback to subordinate, coach, guide, develop and motivate them, help to resolve functional issues in the team, submit manpower request and interview candidates in order to achieve targeted function performance goal.

Develop skills of direct reports and others with EHS & S responsibilities in the organization.

  • EHS Structure & Program Management

Build action plans for the implementation of the organization's EHS & S programs and take a leadership role in execution in order to deliver the organization's EHS & S goals and strategy.

o    Setting up strong Safety-First culture.

o    Establish and develop procedures and teams for driving EHS improvements and managing EHS programs.

o    Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with, influence and promote EHS culture. 

o    Follow up internal and external audit to verify EHS performance and continue improvement.

o    Maintain ISO14001 and TEOA Env Incompliance tools.

o    Ensure safety of construction projects in the Thailand Erni site.

o    Ensure safety of plant moving, including but not limited to moving IND equipment out and DDN equipment in. As well as its installation and commissioning safety

  • Reporting

Implement below tasks in order to meet the requirements of reporting.

o    Report related required EHS&S data to site, BU management, BU EHS and Corporate EHS.

o    Report related EHS&S data required based on applicable legal regulations and TE policies.

o    Monitor and report organizational safety performance against TEOA Safety Tool.

o    Evaluate and report environmental performance quarterly using TE environmental assessment tools.

  • Sustainability and BCP

Focus on GHG, energy, hazardous waste & scope 3 reduction. 

o    Track energy reduction data. 

o    Work with Facility team to identify opportunities of energy reduction.

o    Coordinate business continuity plan of Dongguan - China site.

o    Follow Business Unit, Strategy and Corporate policy and lead scope 3 reduction of the site

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • University degree or equivalent level of qualification in safety, health,environmental,chemical, mechanical or related technical discipline
  • Thailand government required qualification as company EHS manager is a MUST
  • Professional EHS Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years EHS experience required.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in EHS management in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years construction safety experience is a MUST.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred but can be substituted with extensive relevant experience (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of experience in health and safety management, with a proven track record in leading maintenance and safety improvement projects.
  • Prior experience in Health & Safety at an international school of a similar tier to King's College International School Bangkok is highly desirable.

2. Professional Qualifications:

  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards or equivalent safety management systems is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Fire Safety Management or Crisis Management certification is beneficial.

• Contractor Management: Ensure contractors and other third parties working on-site adhere to company EHS standards and procedures


• Reporting & Performance: Track, analyze, and report on key EHS performance indicators (KPIs). Publicly share best practices and performance where appropriate and engage with community initiatives


• Integration: Collaborate with other departments (Operations, Facility, Logistics, Lab, etc.) to integrate EHS considerations into all business practices, including the development of safe products and manufacturing processes


• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with government agencies, local communities, and other external stakeholders on EHS matters

About you:

  • Licensed Safety Officer at the professional level
  • Hands-on experience in workplace safety and compliance programs, including:

  • Contractor safety management (e.g., working at height, confined space entry, hot work, electrical work, LOTO, chemical handling, excavation)

  • EMSMS committee management
  • Forklift safety
  • Behavior-Based Safety Program (BBS)
  • EHS training delivery
  • Solid understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 frameworks and their implementation
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational abilities, Proven capacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively, and Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills for interpreting data and producing actionable reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and general computer literacy.

Job Description

Our client is a Chinese Data Center operator with 36+ data centers. actively expanding to other Asia hotspots. They are now seeking for an EHS specialist (Environmental Health & Safety Specialist) to join their expanding team in Thailand. The successful candidate will have strong experience in conducting safety inspections, emergency management and incident investigation in large-scale construction projects (Data Center experience is highly preferred)

Kindly note that this role requires fluencies in Chinese reading/ writing/ listening/ speaking.

Responsibilities:

  1. Safety System Development & Implementation: Oversee on-site safety production and civilized construction, strictly enforcing national, local, and corporate safety regulations and standards.

  2. Daily Patrols & Inspections: Conduct daily safety inspections of the construction site to promptly identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions; organize regular specialized safety checks (e.g., scaffolding, temporary electricity, large machinery).

  3. Risk Control & Hazard Management: Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments; maintain a hazard tracking register; supervise the implementation of corrective actions for closed-loop management.

  4. Safety Training & Briefings: Organize three-level safety induction for new workers and conduct routine safety training sessions; monitor and ensure safety technical briefings are delivered for project phases and tasks.

  5. Emergency Management: Assist in developing project emergency response plans and organize/participate in emergency drills.

  6. Document Management: Collect, organize, and archive internal safety documentation, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and traceability.

  7. Communication & Coordination: Maintain effective communication with project managers, supervisors, and construction teams to report on safety status and coordinate the resolution of site safety issues.

  8. Incident Investigation: Participate in the investigation, analysis, and handling of workplace incidents and injuries; prepare detailed incident reports.

  9. Project Handover: Ensure all safety-related requirements are fulfilled prior to the handover of facilities (e.g., data centers).

  10. Software Proficiency: Proficient in using relevant professional software.

Mandatory Qualifications:

· Education: College diploma or higher. A degree in Construction Engineering, Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

· Certifications: Must possess a valid "Full-time Safety Production Management Personnel Certificate (C Certificate)" issued by the local construction authority. Possession of a Certified Safety Engineer license is highly advantageous.

· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction site safety management. Experience on large-scale building construction, municipal works, or data center construction projects is preferred.

· Knowledge & Skills: Thorough understanding of national safety laws, local regulations, and industry standards; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Other: Valid driver's license and fluency in Chinese.
