Responsibilities;
Support Environmental Health and Safety Coordination:
- Assist in facilitating efficient communication with foreign workers, contractors, internal personnel, and customers to ensure adherence to working standards across the LBM group.
- Support in coordinating initiatives related to Group OH&S, Environment, and Compliance within LBM.
- Aid in the preparation of OH&S plans, documents, and reports.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental regulations, including the preparation of relevant compliance documents.
- Support the coordination of INSEE Minimum Control (IMC) for LBM, including updating procedures and communicating with relevant business units.
- Assist in summarizing statutory reports monthly to ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
Contractor Oversight and Communication:
- Assist in conducting site visits and audits to ensure compliance with contractors working within the LBM group.
- Provide assistance in communicating OH&S and compliance requirements to onsite personnel and contractors.
- Manage external correspondence regarding compliance matters, ensuring timely communication and obtaining necessary approvals.
Communication and Public Relations:
- Provide support in creating communication and public relations materials regarding OH&S Environment and Compliance activities.
- Assist in the announcement of policies and procedures relevant to OH&S and Compliance.
- Support in designing and distributing communication materials such as X-Stands, Cards, Posters, and Banners for safety campaigns.
Training and Induction Material Development:
- Assist in the design and development of safety and environment induction materials, including videos and presentations.
- Support in designing hazard pocket banners for all LBM sites according to OH&S Awareness Training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Previous experience in a relevant administrative or support role is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental regulations is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluency in Burmese and English languages is preferred.
