Job Description
Work with the Seismic Mitigation Project (SMP), Project Management Office to review the technology requirements of the refurbished Secretariat Building and ensure the design of the ICT infrastructure is future-proof and resource-efficient.
Review the ICT infrastructure designs presented by the principal consultancy firm to make sure that the ICT plans are aligned with OICT standards and policies.
Test the ICT infrastructure and its performance in the swing space, take necessary actions, change/alter requirements, reflect plan and budget for the actual implementation.
Ensure that all procurement plans are completed in time, inspect all materials to ensure that the ICT requirements set out during the design and pilot phase are fully implemented in the development phase.
Manage and supervise the LAN cabling works in the Secretariat Building.
Procure and supervise the installation of ICT equipment for the swing space.
Work closely with the ICT focal points of Substantive Divisions and tenants for the smooth movement of staff to the swing space and back.
Oversee the ICT infrastructure installation process in the Secretariat Building, draw attention to faults and deficiencies, and ensure that the guidelines set out in the configuration documents and checklists are followed up.
Supervise and coordinate the ICT infrastructure installation after the contractor has completed the rectification work.
Supervise and manage the ICT deliverables to ensure uninterrupted staff movement between the swing space and construction floors.
Prepares technical and user documentation for deployed ICT infrastructure, as well as training materials and conducts technical presentations.
Drafts correspondence and communications, including work plan revisions and other related issues, as well as prepares unit contributions for a variety of periodic reports.
Serves as focal point for coordination, monitoring, reporting and managing of ICT inventory management and IT Support knowledge base.
Keeps abreast of developments in the field; performs benchmarking and proposes new acquisitions.
Provides guidance and training to new/junior staff; plans day-to-day work and supervises other staff as required.
Performs other related duties as required.
