Position:

This role will support Czarnikow Thailand's agri and food ingredients trading business, with a focus on trade operations and commercial analysis. The Analyst will help manage daily trade execution activities, analyze key markets (grains, sugar, molasses, starch), and deliver high-quality materials to support commercial decision-making. Strong data, analytical, and presentation skills are essential, alongside a practical understanding of how to use AI tools for efficiency and insight generation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Trade & Business Support

  • Provide trade and operations support across domestic and regional transactions
  • Coordinate logistics, documentation, invoicing, and internal workflows
  • Maintain accurate records of trade margins, volumes, client positions, and performance
  • Assist with payment tracking and internal compliance checks

Market & Commercial Analysis

  • Track local and global market trends across grains, sugar, molasses, and starch
  • Prepare regular market updates and client-ready insights on price trends, supply-demand dynamics, and macro factors
  • Build supply-demand models, pricing benchmarks, and customer analytics specific to Thailand
  • Deliver market data and insights via our Cz App platform to support trading decisions

Presentation & Commercial Materials

  • Develop high-quality, professional presentations for clients and internal use
  • Support the team in preparing client proposals, pitch decks, and review documents (in English and Thai as needed)
  • Translate data and commercial insights into clear, visual, and compelling formats using PowerPoint and visualization tools

Data, Digital & AI Integration

  • Organize, clean, and analyze data using Excel, Python, SQL, or BI tools
  • Collaborate with internal product and platform teams to enhance Cz App features for trade and market intelligence
  • Explore the use of AI tools to improve workflow automation, analyze unstructured data, and enhance efficiency in trade processes and analysis
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Agriculture, Data Science, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in commodity trading, agri-business, analytics, or trade operations
  • Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or Power BI preferred
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LLMs, data scraping, automation workflows) is a strong advantage
  • Fluent in English and Thai (written and spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail, commercial mindset, and ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced international team

The Opportunity:
Based in our Bangkok office,
this accounting role will work across Agoda's core operational entities, which mainly focus on accommodation and flight reservations. This role offers the opportunity to explore the accounting and finance of an online travel agency (OTA) with all the functions that drive OTA products. You will also have the chance to coordinate with other brands within Booking Holdings and gain exposure to international accounting and finance.

In this Role, you'll get to:
Financial Accounts

  • Maintain accounting records including journal entries
  • Maintain and control over fixed assets register
  • Issue and control over invoices, tax invoices, receipts
  • Coordinate with intercompany related to month-end closing and confirmation
  • Correspond with external auditors for statutory financial report
  • Identifying and communicating issues to the Manager
  • Assist accounting manager on ad-hoc assignment

Reporting

  • Prepare financial closing, reporting packages, accounts reconciliation and analysis on the responsible areas
  • Prepare detail reports to support manager on the Quarterly Balance Sheet review with CFO

What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting field
  • Graduated Bachelor in Accountancy
  • Accounting standard knowledge (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, and Local Accounting Standard)
  • Preparation of Statutory reports
  • Proficient ERP Software (Oracle is preferable)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Microsoft office packages (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent analytical/numerical skills – including strong attention to detail

It's Great if you Have:

  • Experience in preparing financial statements under US GAAP
  • Proficient ERP Software (Oracle is preferable)
  • Accounting experience in online travel agency business
