- This is a position within the SBS Finance Service Line based in Bangkok. The incumbent will represent local offices in Asia Pacific to perform and manage accounting activities in the accounting platform.

- Be responsible for accounting activities in terms of operational activities and junior accounting manager such as IFRS Month end closing activities, Statutory Financial statements preparation, tax review and submission, etc in various legal entities.
- Support and comply the internal control within the companies in charge to ensure the reliability of the financial statement and ensure corrective actions coming from audit reports are implemented.
- Deal with external auditors by providing the requested information and replying any inquiries from external auditors on time so as to issue statutory financial statements in designated deadline.
- Coordinate and support the activities with other Finance Service Units and other non-Finance functions
- Perform ad hoc activities or projects as assigned by team leader

- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
- University Degree in Accounting, SAP operate experience and CPA preferable
- Good command in English language both writing and speaking
- Strong Accounting experience and regional role with local GAAP would be preferred
- Strong prior experience of IFRS would be an added advantage
- Experience in MNC environment and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels across different cultures
- Strong experience in SAP, BFC, BOIC would be a plus.
- Work experience from audit companies will be advantage.
- Ability to understand systems architecture and strong IT tools knowledge in SAP ERP,
- BFC and Microsoft Office.

**How will you make an impact?**

As an Accountant within our Finance function, you will support the success of the business by championing compliance with internal controls and legal/statutory requirements while delivering on required results timely.

Scope includes but are not limited to:

- Verify and process staff claims - twice a month
- Bank/cash book related activities -capture all payments and receipts in the accounting system
- Check and process withholding tax and VAT on payments
- Lead monthly payment cycle by ensuring that suppliers are paid promptly and timely
- Ensure that all supplier's invoices are approved, according to the Approval Authority Matrix (AAM) and matched against purchase orders if any, before payments
- Booking of all approved vendor invoices into accounting system
- Liaising with customers in chasing for AR payments
- Own and manage intercompany payables and receivables including reconciliation and liaising with counterparties on discrepancies and variances to resolve it on a timely basis
- Perform month end closing activities
- Currency Forecast
- Collaborating closely with internal and external auditors, tax agent, and assisti in walkthroughs and resolving queries
- Assist in GST returns for quarterly filing
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by SSD Controller and supervisor.

Minimum requirements/qualifications:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional accounting qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a MNC
- Great communication skills
- Must be meticulous and able to work independently and contribute as a great teammate
- Bilingual in both English and Thai languages
- Knowledge of QAD is advantageous but not vital

**Job Overview**
To perform general accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in compliance with corporate policies and local regulations. This role supports both trading and manufacturing operations within a shared services environment, ensuring timely and accurate financial data for decision-making.
**Job Requirements**
+ Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
+ Perform account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, accruals, prepayments).
+ Perform fixed asset accounting, depreciation, asset tagging, physical count and fix asset register ,etc.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP), and tax regulations.
+ Assist in preparation of financial statements, management reports and related supporting document for accounting package.
+ Operate as Shared Services teams for AP/AR, payroll, and treasury transactions.
+ Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
+ Support tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax) and statutory reporting.
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., supply chain, operations, HR) to resolve accounting issues.
**What your background should look like**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ 5-7 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in MNC or shared services.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
+ Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI is a plus.
+ Good command of English (written and spoken).
+ Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under pressure
