Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Assist the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and VP of the Legal Department in handling legal matters and assignments.
• Oversee compliance functions and monitor the effectiveness of legal strategies to achieve company objectives.
• Provide legal counsel and risk mitigation strategies across business sectors, including investment, hospitality, food, spa, education, and finance.
• Offer legal support for local and international contracts, agreements, financing, development, government regulations, and environmental matters.
• Conduct regulatory analysis of laws governing the hotel, education, and food industries to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Contract & Legal Documentation

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to property investments, acquisitions, hotel management, joint ventures, and food operations.
• Develop standard agreements for the food business to streamline legal processes within operations.

Strategic Business Support

• Represent the Legal Department in internal and external meetings, collaborating with stakeholders, government agencies, and external legal firms.
• Support investment and business expansion projects, including real estate acquisitions, education initiatives (Dusit Thani College, LCBD, TFS), and hotel developments in the Middle East and beyond.
• Provide legal solutions to stabilize problem areas in corporate finance, accounting, and regulatory compliance.

Leadership & Management

• Lead and mentor the Legal Department to improve operational efficiency and legal support for business objectives.
• Supervise external legal teams and coordinate with law firms to ensure compliance and risk management.
• Perform other management duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• A LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputable law institution.
• 10 – 15 years of legal experience, preferably in real estate, hospitality, or investment sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of property and real estate laws and regulations.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
• Business acumen and ability to apply legal knowledge in a corporate environment.
• Fluent in Thai and English, both written and spoken.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Legal Director to lead the legal function for our luxury hospitality operations. This role will serve as the principal legal advisor to executive leadership, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, managing risk, overseeing contracts and licensing, and guiding the business through complex legal matters.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Legal Director will work closely with hotel operations, development, human resources, finance, and compliance teams, maintaining the highest standards of legal governance and operational excellence consistent with the brand's reputation for discretion, quality, and integrity.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with local and international laws, hospitality regulations, labor laws, data privacy (e.g. PDPA/GDPR), and industry-specific licensing requirements.

Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate all legal agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, lease agreements, brand/franchise agreements, and management contracts.

• Proactively identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership & Advisory

• Lead and develop internal legal team or coordinate with external law firms.
• Serve as trusted legal advisor to senior leadership and department heads.

• Law degree (LL.B / J.D.) and licensed to practice in (relevant jurisdiction).
• Minimum 8–12 years of legal experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in hospitality, luxury lifestyle, real estate, or F&B sectors is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of hospitality contracts, licensing, employment law, and commercial law.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Fluent in (English); additional languages (e.g., Thai, Mandarin, French) are a plus.

• Knowledge of laws, especially, the corporate, commercial laws, contract, intellectual properties, information technology, data protection.
