YOUR ROLE
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of Tomorrowland's festival operations in Thailand. You will work full-time and independently on-site, ensuring that all activities comply with the applicable legal framework and local market practices, while also aligning with the legal standards and frameworks established by our Headquarters in Belgium.
You report directly to the Head of Legal (HQ, Belgium) and act as the key legal point of contact for the Thai project. You are expected to operate with structure, ownership, and strategic insight, while maintaining a pragmatic and business-minded approach that enables the project to move forward safely and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide legal support across all aspects of the festival's operations in Thailand, including commercial, regulatory, and contractual matters.
- Ensure full compliance with Thai laws, regulations, licensing, and permit requirements, while identifying and addressing any relevant international or European legal considerations.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts (B2B, B2C). Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiations and execution to renewal and dispute resolution.
- Support the development and implementation of internal compliance policies and governance structures tailored to the Thai legal environment. Align HQ legal standards and templates with local legal requirements and market customs.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and proactively identify mitigation strategies.

MUST-HAVES:

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in an international or cross-border context.
- Fluent in English and Thai.
- Strong expertise in commercial and contract law. Knowledge of IP, media, and entertainment law is a plus.
- Based in Thailand and available full-time.
