- Be accountable for the test process optimization with a focus on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield within a CFT or across a large equipment set serving multiple customers
- Provide project leadership, including management of (and communication with) team members, suppliers for comprehensive test deployments including structural, functional, system, stress and final test applications for a large customer
- Support sales process by providing support to the quoting process.

Who You Will Work With
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Risk Engineering, Material Quality Engineering, Product Creation, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and Nike's global Apparel and Accessories Manufacturing supplier base. Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing & System Engineering, this role will collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives. The candidate will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Who We Are Looking For
An ideal candidate for Senior Manager – Manufacturing System Engineering is a strategic thinker with exceptional skills in Garment Manufacturing & Product Quality Management. They are detail oriented, proactive and thrive in fast paced environments. This person will have a strong understanding of Nike's Apparel and Accessories' Manufacturing's strategic direction and excel at managing multiple stakeholders while advocating on behalf of Nike and our team's interest.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, with a strong background in Quality, Industrial Engineering and Garment Engineering.
- A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in relevant disciplines are preferred.
- Expertise in quality & process engineering and the ability to analyze and improve complex manufacturing processes. A strategic mindset with the ability to envision and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering tangible results in product quality improvements in the garment industry. Experience in textile chemistry and heat transfer applications would be a huge plus.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a dynamic engineering team to drive quality transformations at third party manufacturing partners. Fostering a high-performance culture through effective coaching, mentoring, and development.
- Performance Management: Establish clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.

What You Will Work On
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing foundational capabilities to unlock Product Quality, Process Optimization, and Garment Engineering across Nike's APAC supplier base. This role is pivotal in driving quality and manufacturing efficiency within the manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with Nike's strategic objectives.
- Leadership: Lead to build strategy and execution plan for Nike' Apparel and Accessories' Quality, Industrial Engineering, and Garment Engineering principles within Nike's manufacturing partner base to elevate their capabilities.
- Build a strong partnership with Nike's Product Risk Engineering, Material Quality Engineering and Product Creation teams, to deploy Nike's product performance standards and lead the standardization of manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across Nike's APAC partner base.
- Manufacturing Readiness: Build rigor in manufacturing integration process, leveraging engineering tools and best practices with quality/process engineering to mitigate risk at production.
- Manufacturing Execution: Operate with world-class production quality engineering processes to assure perfect product is made right at the first time.
- Manufacturing Efficiency: Drive strategic roadmap to improve overall efficiency of Nike's factory partners.
- Inspections & Audits: Continuously elevate the game in product inspection and audits and drive confluence with MSE teams and Issue Management team and Nike's Manufacturing leadership.
- Marketplace Feedback: Incorporate consumer feedback based on in-market product quality, and lessons applied to future product/manufacturing improvements.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives and their impact on manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Oversee the application of Garment Engineering principles to innovate and standardize manufacturing processes, improving product quality and consistency.
- Work closely with the Director, Manufacturing & System Engineering & other key stakeholders to align initiatives with Nike's broader strategic roadmap for in-region manufacturing.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination within the team and across the global engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation and learning.
