Key Responsibilities

1. Medical Care & Emergency Response

• Provide nursing care and emergency first aid to students, staff, parents, and visitors.
• Dispense prescribed medication safely and accurately, ensuring proper documentation.
• Conduct student health screenings as required.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis, asthma attacks, seizures, or sports injuries, following school protocols.
• Provide on-site medical support at sports events, school functions, and school trips to ensure timely emergency care.
• Recognise and appropriately escalate any child protection or safeguarding concerns.

2. Records, Compliance & Confidentiality

• Input and maintain accurate student medical records and generate reports for school trips.
• Liaise with parents to ensure consent, clear communication, and proper documentation for medication during school hours and off-campus activities.
• Work in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), maintaining strict confidentiality and data privacy.
• Ensure medical practices follow Thai law, international best practice, and school safeguarding policies.

3. Medical Stock & Equipment Management

• Maintain adequate stock of medicines and first aid equipment across nurse rooms and the Sports Hall.
• Conduct regular stock checks, submitting reports and issuing replenishment requests.
• Prepare and coordinate first aid kits, medical devices, and supplies for school trips and excursions.
• Maintain and prepare CPR training equipment to ensure readiness.
• Ensure medical areas are fully equipped to respond to both daily needs and large-scale emergencies.

4. Training, Education & Awareness

• Contribute to health education sessions, awareness campaigns, and Emergency First Response (EFR) training as an instructor or support staff.
• Provide training and supervision for part-time nurses to ensure consistent and safe care across the school.
• Support staff in basic first aid awareness and promote infection control practices across the school community.
• Deliver or support workshops on hygiene, nutrition, vaccination awareness, and mental health.
• Contribute to whole-school safety and interdisciplinary training, including emergency drills and risk management sessions.

5. Hygiene, Safety & Collaboration

• Ensure the medical unit maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational readiness.
• Support infection control measures and outbreak management (e.g. influenza, dengue, or other communicable diseases).
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with students, staff, and families to support individual health needs and wellbeing.
• Work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• Demonstrate strong prioritisation and time management to balance daily care, emergencies, and school events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, with a valid Thai Nursing Council Professional License for Nursing and Midwifery.
• Minimum 3 years' professional experience as a nurse, preferably in a school, paediatric, or emergency care setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring and student-centred approach.
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, including the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding protocols and ability to identify and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Experience in infection prevention and outbreak management.
• Proficient in Thai and English (both oral and written).
• TOEIC score of 500 or equivalent, demonstrating effective communication in professional and healthcare contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and adapt communication to diverse needs.
