Collects, reviews, and monitors required regulatory documentation for study start-up, study maintenance and study close-out.
Communicates with Investigators and site staff on issues related to protocol conduct, recruitment, retention, protocol deviations, regulatory documentation, site audits/inspections and overall site performance.
Identifies, assesses and resolves site performance, quality or compliance problems and escalates per defined CRA Escalation Pathway as appropriate in collaboration with CRA manager, CRM, and RCPM.
Manages and maintains information and documentation in CTMS, eTMF and various other systems as appropriate and per timelines.
Contributes to CRA team knowledge by acting as process Subject Matter Expert (SME), buddy/mentor and sharing best practices as appropriate/required.
Supports and/or leads audit/inspection activities as needed.
Following the country strategy defined by CRD and CRA manager, contributes to the identification of new potential sites and works closely with them to develop strong clinical research capabilities.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong technical skills as well as business capabilities. The requirements are as follows:
Bachelor of Sciences with strong emphasis in science and/or biology would be prefer.
Minimum 2 Years of clinical research experience which may include Clinical Trial Assistant, Study Coordinator, Regulatory CTC etc.
Fluent in Local Languages and English (verbal and written) and excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand technical information. Developing ability to present technical information with support.
Good understanding and working knowledge of clinical research, phases of clinical trials, current GCP/ICH & country clinical research law & guidelines.
Good understanding of Global, Country/Regional Clinical Research Guidelines and ability to work within these guidelines.
Developing skills in Site Management including management of site performance and patient recruitment which monitoring skill and independent professional judgment.
Able to work with other experienced research professions to develop skills across multiple protocols, sites and therapy areas.
High sense of accountability / urgency. Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment, with support from Line Manager.
Works effectively in a matrix multicultural environment. Ability to establish and maintain culturally sensitive working relationships.
Demonstrates commitment to Customer focus.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Perform site monitoring visits (selection, initiation, monitoring and close-out visits) in accordance with contracted scope of work and regulatory requirements, i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines
+ Work with sites to adapt, drive, and track subject recruitment plan in line with project needs to enhance predictability.
+ Administer protocol and related study training to assigned sites and establish regular lines of communication with sites to manage ongoing project expectations and issues.
+ Evaluate the quality and integrity of study site practices related to the proper conduct of the protocol and adherence to applicable regulations. Escalate quality issues as appropriate.
+ Manage the progress of assigned studies by tracking regulatory submissions and approvals, recruitment and enrollment, case report form (CRF) completion and submission, and data query generation and resolution. May support start-up phase.
+ Ensure copies/originals (as required) site documents are available for filing in the Trial Master File (TMF) and verify that the Investigator's Site File (ISF) is maintained in accordance with GCP and local regulatory requirements.
+ Create and maintain appropriate documentation regarding site management, monitoring visit findings and action plans by submitting regular visit reports, generating follow-up letters and other required study documentation.
+ Collaborate and liaise with study team members for project execution support as appropriate.
+ If applicable, may be accountable for supporting development of project subject recruitment plan on a per site basis.
+ If applicable, may be accountable for site financial management according to executed clinical trial agreement and retrieve invoices according to local requirement.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in scientific discipline or health care preferred.
+ Prior on-site monitoring experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
+ Basic knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements (i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines).
+ Good therapeutic and protocol knowledge as provided in company training.
+ Computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and use of a laptop computer and iPhone and iPad (where applicable).
+ Written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language.
+ Organizational and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective time and financial management skills.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Start-up (from site identification through pre-initiation)**:
Act as Parexel’s direct point of contact with assigned sites, accountable for quality and delivery during the start-up phase.
- Build relationships with investigators and site staff.
- Conduct, drive and manage country specific feasibility and/or site pre-qualification and qualification activities, which may include:
- Preparation, negotiation, and facilitation of execution of Confidentiality Agreements (CDA), Clinical Site Agreements (CSAs) and any amendments.
- Conduct remote Qualification Visits (QVs).
- Generate visit/contact reports, using judgment to identify site issues and problem solving to direct resolution.
- Develop strategy to configure, distribute, and collect, and review and approve, high quality country specific and/or site specific documents or essential regulatory documents (SRP) and any updated or amended regulatory documentation.
- Customize, review, and negotiate as needed, country/site specific Informed Consent Forms (ICF), translations (within parameters of country/regulatory/client requirements), and customize and negotiate any amendments.
- Submit all pertinent documentation to the trial master file as per project plans/sponsor/company policy.
- Forecast, develop, manage, and revise plans and strategies for:
- IRB/IEC and MoH / RA submission/approval,
- Site activation,
- Patient recruitment & retention.
- Update and maintain appropriate Clinical Trial Management systems (CTMS) in a timely manner.
- Promptly identify, use judgment and knowledge to address and resolve or escalate, any site question and/or issue, including but not limited to: potential issues or risks with site activation timelines, issues with patient recruitment strategy, deficiencies in training, data quality or integrity, study non-compliance, etc.
- Facilitate and support allocated sites with access to relevant study systems and ensure they are compliant with all project specific training requirements prior to study start.
- Actively participate in Investigator and other external or internal meetings, audits & regulatory inspections
