**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Responsible for understanding and implementing the customers technical roadmap and related process development projects.
+ Lead and implement the development and release of the full manufacturing process for new customer products.
+ Understand and provide feedback on customers technical requirements to team members and management
+ Responsible for developing and implementing costed and optimized feedback using Design for manufacturability (DFX) tools and processes, with the goal of reducing manufacturing cost and improving quality and reliability of product.
+ Develop, plan and lead the assessment of the capability of process applications using Design of Experiments.
+ Devise process controls and data collection strategies and evaluate complex data to assist with reporting yield, reliability and diagnoses to root causes failures impacting product quality.
+ Ensure accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.
+ Set yearly plans and goals for the department and give direction on expected performance and provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.

They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. **Job Overview**
Lead and manage manufacturing engineering **with the objective** of ensuring on time and successful delivery of the projects and provision of effective support to new business **within** TE operation and engineering plan and budget.
**Job Requirements**
**Manufacturing Engineering**
Develop advanced process technology; review automation project, TEBIT saving project; review new sample making reports; and provide technical support to key project _in order to_ effectively support production and business development.
+ Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and workflows.
+ Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Collaborate with design and quality teams on new product introductions.

+ Provide training and technical support to production staff.
**Planning and Budgeting**
Develop and implement section budget and plan, and monitor the achievement of the budget _in order to_ achieve targeted department performance.
**Policies and Procedures**
Implement new global product development policies, procedures and systems; and maintain and develop local product development policies, procedures _in order to_ meet TE's global requirements.
**People Management & Development**
Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team _in order to_ achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.
**Asset Management**
Manage fixed asset and find new oppounity to reuse idle asset on new project in order to reduce product cost.
**What your background should look like**
Bachelor degree with engineering and sciences;
12 - 15 years cable assembly working experience including 4 years management experience.

**Summary**
The Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.
**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Failure Analyze and interpret data and information from yield reports and equipment logs and product diagnostics to determine sources of failure and yield loss.
+ Debug and troubleshoot product failure using data analytic, DOE (design of experiments), TDR, Six Sigma tools, and failure analysis methodologies
+ Collaborate with Customer, Design, Quality, Process, Supplier Engineer into problem solving and test yield and performance issues.
+ Drive failures troubleshooting and develop debug methodology since NPI
+ Set up continuous yield improvement and bone pile drive with customer and design team
+ Introduce proper debug tools and capacity per projected failure rate.
+ Analyze failure opportunity and develop and implement test, debug, component failure procedures for efficient and effective detection of defects.
+ Analyze test results and provide feedback to design and component engineers for product performance improvement.
+ Evaluate and integrate new test/debug technology to enhance capabilities and address evolving product requirements
+ Collaborate with the team on bone pile, scrap and NDF reduction, productivity improvements to cycle time.
+ Provide solution support to test engineers to improve detection, increase test coverage, and improve product performance.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Deep understanding of automatic test equipment (ATE) used in electronics industry, such as flying probe testers, in-circuit testers (ICT), and functional testers.
+ Expertise in defining, specifying, qualifying, installing, supporting, and optimizing test processes and equipment for PCB assembly (PCBA).
+ Proven ability to lead and drive test process optimization initiatives for PCBAs, focusing on reducing test cycle time and improving first-pass yield.
+ Advanced proficiency in debugging test programs and fixtures for PCBAs using techniques like boundary scan, fault dictionary analysis, and circuit schematic interpretation.
+ Thorough knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and common defects (e.g., solder joint issues, component placement errors, shorts, opens).
+ Strong understanding of electrical testing principles and methodologies relevant to PCBAs.
+ Familiarity with IPC standards related to PCB assembly and testing.
+ Knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods for interpreting test results and identifying trends in PCB assembly defects.
+ Excellent collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with SMT, Process, and Quality Engineering teams.
+ Strong project management skills to lead test equipment implementation and improvement projects.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret data from yield reports, equipment logs, product diagnostics, and test results to identify failure sources and yield loss.
+ Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot product failures effectively.
+ Proficiency in using data analytics techniques to identify patterns and root causes of failures.
+ Experience in designing and executing experiments to investigate and resolve issues.
+ Knowledge and experience in using TDR for failure analysis.
+ Familiarity with and application of Six Sigma methodologies and tools for process improvement and problem-solving.
+ Strong understanding and application of various failure analysis techniques.

+ Ability to drive failure troubleshooting and develop debug methodologies from the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
+ Understanding of continuous yield improvement principles and the ability to drive initiatives.

**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ To provide recommendation for the best manufacturing concept for a given project to achieve optimum cost, quality and manufacturability targets.
+ To provide product design input for manufacturability.
+ To conceptualize manufacturing process and tool design concepts, leading to estimates of process parameter inputs for generation of cost models.
+ To work with vendors on Prototype tooling and manage the prototyping process to meet cost targets and planned schedule.
+ To provide inputs in the various Design Reviews, Design FMEA and be the main driver for Process FMEA.
+ To establish Tool specifications, and with input from manufacturing plant Engineers, finalise mass production tooling design concepts and requirements.
+ To manage Vendors during mass production tooling fabrication stage to ensure progress per plan and technical requirements are met.
+ Buy-off completed mass production tools from supplier.
+ Co-ordinate and ensure smooth transfer and start-up of mass production tooling at mass production site.
+ Ensure documentation in line with Tooling Acceptance requirement for release to operation.
+ Introduce new technology or technique to improve overall operation efficiency and productivity without compromising on quality.
+ Staying informed on new development through collaboration with Center-of-Excellence (CoE)
+ Monitor and document continuous improvement opportunities.
+ Establish Design Rules and Standardization.
+ Support IATF19649 environment programs.
+ Apply pollution prevention and design for environment principles in accordance with ISO 14000 environmental management system in the Design and Development of the manufacturing processes.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ At least with Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
+ 5 Years' experience in cable assembly manufacturing environment.
+ 3 Years' experience in Cable assembly equipment design/ selection.
+ Experience with CAD tools, including CREO, AutoCAD etc
+ Vendor Management skills and good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
+ Good understanding on how a process capability study is conducted and able to interpret results.
+ Familiar with Engineering practices, terminology and tolerances
+ Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work in a team environment in which he/she creates rapport and commands respect.

**Summary**

+ Set yearly plans and goals for their department and give direction on expected performance and provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
+ Defines process problems that lead to throughput or quality issues, evaluates cause of problem, implements solutions to stabilize processes, evaluates results.
+ Acts as the focal point for all product-related technical issues.
+ Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product and/or the product data release process.
