Job Responsibilities:

• Controlling the operating parameters of boiler and turbines to maximize steam and power generation.

• Monitoring Gas consumption (NM3/Te) in boiler and steam consumption (Kg/KWh) in turbines on day-to-day basis and taking corrective actions to reduce losses.

• Identify and highlight deviations in operating conditions on day-to-day basis.

• Coordination with process electrical and instrumentation departments for effective running of the plant.

• Carry out all operation activities of utilities, monitoring all critical parameters and take corrective actions.

• To operate and maintain D.M. plant, Boiler, Turbo - Generator and Air Conditioning system within specified parameters, in the shift to extend uninterrupted utility services for plant operation.

• To operate and maintain water treatment plant, D.M. Plant, Cooling Tower, Bath water plant, MEE plant within specified quality parameters and maintain the zero liquid discharge to extend uninterrupted utility services for plant operation.

• To operate and maintain D.M. plant, boiler, turbogenerator, Air conditioning system and ZLD plant within specified parameters, in the shift to extend uninterrupted utility services for plant operation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8-12 years of experience in utility operations management
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of steam and power generation systems, boilers, turbines, and water treatment plants.
• Familiarity with safety standards, maintenance practices, and environmental regulations in utility operations.
• Strong understanding of energy management, chemical usage, and quality control for steam and water systems.
• Experience in managing budgets, cost optimization, and resource planning.
• Spoken and written English

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of gas turbines (heavy-duty or aero-derivative) and auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on turbine systems, including inspections, overhauls, and alignments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in turbine systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Provide training and technical support to clients and site personnel.
• Prepare and submit detailed service reports, inspection findings, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during field activities.
• Travel frequently to domestic and international sites as per project requirements.
• Liaise with customers in fluent English to explain technical solutions and provide progress updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3-7 years of experience working with gas turbines (OEMs like GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Solar, etc. preferred).
• Strong understanding of power plant systems, rotating equipment, and control systems.
• Familiarity with tools and diagnostic software for turbine monitoring and tuning.
• Fluent in English – written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel globally on short notice.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.

Preferred Experience:

• Worked on Frame turbines (e.g., GE Frame 5/6/7), LM series, or other industrial turbines.
• Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting of gas turbine control systems (e.g., Mark VIe, Woodward, Siemens T3000).
• Exposure to combined cycle or cogeneration power plants.

We are looking for Mechanical Engineer who will work closely with the project team to support the design, installation, quality, commissioning and handover of a data center project in Bangkok, Thailand. The project will be one of the first liquid cooled deployed data centers in Thailand, so a degree of up skilling will be required. The data center is part of an existing campus.
