Key Deliverables
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Implement and apply the six sigma in maintenance management of equipment / machines in manufacturing sites. Existing processes: DMAIC , New processes: DFSS.
- Establish the objectives of the maintenance department and identify the critical-for-quality processes.
- Analyze and determine: frequency of preventive maintenance, frequency of predictive maintenance, procedures for autonomous maintenance, downtime, maintenance budget, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and corrective occurrences.
- Develop and execute action plan applying FMEA to improve the performance of equipment / machines.
- Drive quality measurement and predictability improvement in early design phases for new equipment / machines
- Plan, optimize, execute and track the needed maintenance activities as part of the enterprise asset management.
- Strive for the targets of ZERO injuries, ZERO defects and ZERO breakdowns
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Training Within Industry (TWI), Value Engineering (VAVE) & other Lean Six Sigma tools as required.
- Develop & deploy the Hoya Vision Care Production System (HPS).
- Lead the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TWI & VAVE programs.
- Development, maintenance & standardization of Lean Six Sigma methods, tools & training materials.
- Training, coaching & mentoring employees in implementation of Lean Six Sigma methods & tools.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Workshops, Kaizen Workshops & Kaizen Events.
- Lead the Lean Six Sigma Global Best Practices sharing & Yokoten.
- Conduct External & Internal Lean Benchmarking Visits (e.g. Japan Lean Study Mission).
- Develop & track Lean Six Sigma KPIs.
- Lean Six Sigma promotion, communication, and rewards & recognition.
- Develop Lean Six Sigma Competency Development Program & Certification.
- Install Global Lean Six Sigma Projects Tracker System & Lean Six Sigma Academy website.
- Lead the installation of the Moonshine Innovation Centers.
- Develop the Small Group Activity (SGA) program's curriculum & approach.
- Lead the implementation of Kamishibai for Layered Process Audit (LPA).
- Involves up to 50% traveling.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
- MBA degree will be an added advantage.
- Subject Matter Expert and Hands-on experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma & Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in manufacturing.
- Experienced in leading the Lean/Six Sigma/TPM deployment for multiple factories, or a region.
- Excellent communication and presentation skill, able to interact with all levels.
- Lean/Six Sigma/TPM certified will be added advantages.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English language.
- At least 10-15 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
