Job Description
Summary:
- Site Providing manufacturing process expertise to ensure that RB's healthcare NPD's and EPD's are developed and delivered to plan using the technology transfer process.
- Leading supply in-sourcing projects or projects to move production between RB factories
- Providing manufacturing expertise to maintain and improve the production of product utilising existing processes and development of improved processes validation activities e.g. EPD, Rolling out, Engineering project, Raw material BCP, new machine in Bangpakong factory
Responsibilities:
- Site validation activities e.g. EPD, Rolling out, Engineering project, Raw material BCP, new machine in Bangpakong factory.
- To organize and lead industrial and lab/pilot trials as required during technology transfer and process development.
- Working with External party i.e. Lab, University, Supplier.
- To identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the manufacturing processes and to implement these with the related manufacturing site to improve cost, quality and customer service.
- To support the procurement team and R&D Health E&M in evaluation of major raw material opportunities and to assist when necessary with the industrial trials and validation required to add these new materials to product licences.
- The job may require national and international travel on a project by project basis.
Qualifications:
- Education - Degree level in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
- In depth knowledge and experience of manufacturing technology.
- A minimum of 3 years FMCG experience is required (preferably medical device, latex or rubber based products).
- Knowledge of US FDA and global GMP standards and legislation is an advantage.
- Experience of trials, process development and validation is desirable.
- Project management experience and discipline
- Knowledge in Microsoft office, Minitab

The Senior Process Technologist is responsible for lead in optimizing current technology and generating best proven technology implementation in process to optimize process performance as well as lead in monitoring and evaluating Process Safety. Include using tools and approaches such as HAZOP, LOPA, Critical Operating parameters and Windows, Safety equipment by passes and alarms analysis. Contributing to Inspection plans, new Project design and Evaluation, Emergency Scenarios. Prime role and responsibilities shall include:
Process Safety Monitoring/Improvement
- Lead in monitoring and evaluating Process Safety.
- Lead in process hazard analysis and follow up on action items
- Provide an effective troubleshooting and solutions to resolve problems and reduce re-occurring alarms and safety by pass in production process. Assess criticality ranking for all alarms, interlocks and Safety

- Be a driver of PSSR and startup permitting

Coaching and Developing

Technology Development
- Collaborate with RD&T to develop new products, processes and technology.
- Lead trial implementation of technology in pilot scale to provide proof for lab-scale technology.
- Lead and generate best proven technology implementation in process to optimize process performance.
- Lead in optimizing current technology to increase efficiency, reduce cost and improve quality of production process.
Pre & Post Project Execution
- Collaborate with Project Engineering team to complete the project under accountability as planned.
- Provide data related to basic design and conceptual engineering including process datasheet and equipment datasheet review.
- Collaborate with and lead project team in providing Hazop/ Start-up checklist/ Process Parameter to ensure project start up with safe as planned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Polymer/Chemical Engineering, Science or Technology or related field.
- Good technical knowledge of polymerization or petrochemical production activities e.g. unit operation.
- Knowledge of Safety and Quality System e.g. HAZOP, EHS, ISO9001, ISO45001, etc.
- Knowledge of engineering standard and process calculation such as hydraulic calculation is advantage
- Minimum 10 years of experience as process engineer for both normal plant operation and project.
- Minimum 7 years of directly related experience in the polymers or petrochemical production activities.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management related to unit operation or new product development.
- Experience in multination company is advantage
- Excellent in English communication and presentation.
- Computer skills particularly of process simulation packages and must be proficient using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Analytical tools e.g. problem solving process etc.
- Skill of reading Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagram (PFDs).
