Job Summary:

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production and utility equipment. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and complies with safety and quality standards. The engineer also plays a key role in preventive maintenance planning, equipment upgrades, and support for production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
• Support and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) activities.
• Work closely with the maintenance team and production staff to minimize downtime.

2. Equipment Installation & Setup

• Plan and supervise the installation and commissioning of new machinery or production lines.
• Review and validate equipment layout, utility connections, and safety features.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for technical specifications and installation activities.

3. Performance Monitoring & Improvement

• Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and propose improvements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, Kaizen, or Lean.
• Upgrade or modify equipment to improve performance, reduce costs, or meet new process requirements.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain and update equipment documentation including manuals, SOPs, calibration records, PM schedules, etc.
• Ensure equipment meets quality, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
• Prepare reports on downtime, maintenance KPIs, and cost analysis.

5. Spare Parts & Asset Management

• Define critical spare parts and manage inventory levels.
• Support asset tracking, equipment lifecycle planning, and replacement strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineer or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, Robot, Electro planting, Hydraulics, Pneumatic system of Electronics company or PCB or similar roles in a manufacturing.
• Familiar with PLC, automation systems, mechanical/electrical systems, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or ERP systems is a plus.

Process Analysis

• Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Use process mapping techniques to document workflows clearly and accurately

Process Design

• Design new processes or enhance existing ones to improve performance, efficiency, and customer experience
• Develop detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures and process guidelines

Implementation

• Implement process changes in coordination with relevant teams, minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate new processes into existing systems

Performance Monitoring

• Define and track metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements
• Continuously monitor performance and adjust processes as necessary to drive results

Training and Support

• Deliver training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of new processes
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to internal teams to ensure compliance and process sustainability

Collaboration

• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business needs and align improvements with strategic objectives
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather insights and build consensus on process changes

Continuous Improvement

• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business process management
• Champion a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or a similar role
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in process mapping and visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio, Miro, or similar
• Familiarity with BI/Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik Sense)

Responsibility

• Develop maintenance plans, systematically maintain equipment, and conduct daily inspections and patrols to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
• In the process of equipment maintenance and repair, it is the responsibility and obligation to comply with relevant safety regulations and supervise relevant personnel to comply, ensuring that the safety of personnel and equipment is conscientiously implemented
• Timely and thorough elimination of equipment failures to ensure production efficiency.
• Supervise and standardize personnel operations to ensure the accuracy and safety of equipment operation.
• Train employees to operate, participate in employee management, and supervise the implementation of various systems
• Conduct 5M1E supervision and inspection.
• Participate in process management and quality improvement work, propose and follow up on various suggestions related to equipment improvement and cost savings, actively innovate, and summarize experience.
• Control production costs, mainly including the consumption of various water, electricity, and gas.
• Compile equipment operation instructions, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and other relevant work instruction documents.
• Complete various work summary reports and analysis, improvement, or evaluation reports.
• Equipment stability detection and equipment parameter calibration.
• Complete the equipment upgrading of the equipment room and the installation and commissioning of various assigned new equipment and equipment transformations.
• Complete other work tasks assigned by the Level 1 Central Control Room, including carrying out work across regions

Key point : Able to participate in an on-the-job training or study visit in China for a minimum of 6 months.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any related fields
• 2-5 Years working experience in PCB industry
• Knowledge inPCB (printed circuit board), electrical control, mechanical principles, etc.

Required Skill:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic / Mechanical & Electonic Engineering or related
• 8 to 10 yrs of experience in Manufacturing support for Electromechanical assembly will be an ideal fit for this role
