POSITION SUMMARY:
Managers the plant Quality Assurance Functions, assuring product reliability and conformance to ARC engineering, customer and federal specification. Maintains design integrity and intent of the finished product.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in quality control/assurance, product reliability, and laboratory test procedures.3 years of which were in a Supervisory or lead role. Must have strong leadership skills, be a self-starter, and be team oriented. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Manage the development, coordination and implementation of shop floor, administrative, and test lab Quality Systems and procedures to achieve and maintain TS16949 status.
2.In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, works to resolve problems related to product designs, specifications, materials, tooling and production operations affecting quality.
3.Reviews all customer specifications to assure all information is current and all new inspection and testing is incorporated or revised.
4.Direct Quality Engineer function for effectiveness in applying Quality systems and procedures to lab and shop floor.
5.Insure compliance of products and facility to specifications and procedures.
6.Coordinate work team training and development.
7.Coordinate plant and supplier audits for compliance to systems requirements.
8.Directs Q.A. Department in achieving plant goal.
9.Ensures establishment of and compliance with appropriate procedures in layout, testing receiving inspection, and other quality control related areas.
10.Performs other job-related duties as assigned by GM.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Duties will be performed in a combination office/shop environment. Employee may be exposed to environmental/controlled air conditions, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring the use of protective equipment. Employee may be required to be on call, work weekends, holidays, and travel overnight on occasion. May be required to perform shift work (if applicable).
