**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Digital Data Network Business Unit is seeking a proactive and results-driven Advanced Quality Engineer to support its New Product Design Center. This role is critical in ensuring robust quality systems and practices are embedded throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and product change lifecycle-from component design to final assembly.
**Job Requirements**
As an AQE, you will:
+ Lead the development and implementation of Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) tools and methodologies within cross-functional product development teams.
+ Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and integrated from the outset.
+ Conduct design and process audits for NPI projects, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
+ Collaborate closely with manufacturing sites to ensure seamless transition from design to production, including training facilitation and sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
+ Support customer complaint investigations during NPI, including documentation collection, in-process record review, and postmortem analysis.
+ Ensure effective deployment of control plans and support supplier development and management to meet quality expectations for NPI shipments.
Responsibilities:
+ **Design Quality Assurance** : Organize and facilitate Design Reviews (DR) and DFMEA sessions to ensure robust product design and risk mitigation.
+ **Prototype & Sample Build Quality** : Implement quality planning and controls for prototype/sample builds, including documentation and build record management.
+ **Measurement System Validation** : Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for inspection systems and gages used in the project.
+ **Development Stage Quality Oversight** : Analyze samples, address quality issues, and drive improvement actions during product development.
+ **Verification & Qualification** : Lead design verification activities prior to design freeze and manage product qualification testing before Gate 5.
+ **Tool & Process Validation** : Perform process capability studies and support Final Tool Approval (FTAR) using Comprehensive Tool Approval Reports (CTAR).
+ **Production Quality Control** : Establish and maintain quality controls and documentation for the production shop floor.
+ **Ongoing Quality Monitoring** : Monitor process capability and manage corrective actions to ensure sustained quality performance.
+ **Inspection Review** : Review and approve measurement and cosmetic inspection results to ensure compliance with specifications.
+ **Audit Support** : Provide support during customer and internal/external quality system audits.

**What your background should look like**
+ **Education** : Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
+ **Industry Experience** : Proven quality control experience in cable assemblies, connectors, sockets, or related industries.
+ **Quality Systems & Standards** :
+ Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and APQP procedures.
+ Familiarity with EIA-364 test methods and internal/external auditing practices.
+ Knowledge of Model-Based Definition (MBD) and GD&T requirements
**Analytical & Technical Expertise** :
+ Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
+ Skilled in Risk Management (DFMEA/PFMEA), Process Capability (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk), and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.
+ Experienced in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt preferred).
+ Competent in data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python/R)

**What your background should look like**
**Qualifications:**
+ Degree in Quality Management/Engineering discipline.
+ Preferably with 2-5 years of working experience in Quality Assurance role of any manufacturing industry

**Qualifications:**
+ B.S. degree (or above) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8-12 years' working experience in supplier quality or in related quality function areas, working experience in connector, Cable assembly, Cage assembly, Antenna manufacturing is a plus.
+ Have advanced knowledge of the supplier management, certified ISO9001/IATF16949 internal auditor is preferred.
+ Clear understanding of connector, cable assembly, antenna, busbar quality and requirements, including measurement techniques, would be a distinct advantage.
+ Strong root cause analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Good knowledge in quality tools such as BKM, Cpk, SPC,8D, FMEA, Gage R&R, Poka Yoke.
+ Demonstrated negotiation skills, good communication in bridging between TE and suppliers as quality side

**The Job**
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be part of our Hand Tools & Accessory team located in Thailand. You'll get to:
+ Managing suppliers' qualifications and development
+ Manage supplier PPAP process in new product development or transfer or resourcing project
+ Manage Production Assurance (Pre-shipment Inspection/ Process audit) and Problem Solving (CAP).
+ Manage internal customer complaints and warranty follow up.
+ Lead continue improvement internally (GSMA) and externally (supplier side
+ Manage resources in new product development (only when it is necessary).
+ Lead engineering issue follows up
**Major Tasks and Level Accountability:**
+ Conduct Quality Audit (SQA) and Social Accountability (SA) to suppliers based on Stanley Black& Decker audit process. Trace improvement plan (CAP) and maintain the audit information into dedicated audit database.
+ Conduct Pre-Shipment Inspection (or call EOLA, End of line audit). Responsible to issue official inspection report, request/review/follow up the CAP form the supplier, load audit result, and maintain the information in system if any (For example, QM).
+ Perform In-Process Audit (or called CAPA or Compliance Audit) to the Stanley Black & Decker item be manufactured by the supplier. Follow up and implement corrective action either with the supplier or buy location (division). Maintain the information in a dedicated audit database.
+ Co-work with suppliers on all different types of quality compliant and prepare CAP (corrective action plan)/LSS (LEAN & 6 Sigma) projects to avoid it happening again, include the complaint resource from: NCMR (or called DMR/notification), VOC (voice of customer), Warranty
+ Work with suppliers to develop continues improvement includes:
+ Address and follow up the open issues after Product Launch (Quality Book/PQP/PPAP).
+ Implement Engineering Change from Stanley Black & Decker side
+ Request/support Engineering Change (or called REA) from the supplier side
+ Root Cause analysis (finish bone, 5W, 8D)
+ 6 sigma project development
+ Lead and drive LEAN manufacturing on the supplier side. Improvement opportunity is not limited to: 1. Lead Time Reduction 2. Capacity Improvement/ramp up production plan 3. MOQ reduction 4. Avoid waste from production
+ Guide and facilitate Stanley Black & Decker communication platform extended to the supplier side to improve communication related to engineering/quality control/product specification
+ Drawing Access through Supplier Connect
+ Material declaration (RSDS)
+ Packaging Information through Supplier Connect includes: EP (Engineering Procedure), ES (Engineering Specification), PS (Process Specification)
+ Co-work with Purchasing responsible (Purchase Engineer or Buyer) on developing supplier.
+ Co-work with Project Engineer to facility necessary quality concept/requirement in the supplier side. With regional quality manager's dedication, SQE could involve new product development as short/middle term support.
+ Co-work with Test Lab to verify the product complied with product specification.

+ University/college/ master's degree in mechanical engineering related
+ +5 year working experience in quality control & engineering function
+ Familiar with common international certification (ISO9000, QS9000, TS16949, SA8000).
+ Require Audit Skill to conduct SQA and SA to the supplier side
+ Be able to use Microsoft Office (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK)
+ Fluent English communication skills, Chinese is preferable
+ Excellent Problem-Solving Skill (PDCA, 5W, 8D, DMAIC, LEAN)
+ Project Management
+ Ability of using SAP, Minitab is a plus

**Reporting to:** Manager, Quality Management (based onsite)
**Summary**
+ Leading/Support improvements to quality and resolution of daily quality issues that result in reduced quality issue.
+ Using a systematic approach to managing quality improvements and resolution of daily quality issues. Support product and process validations.
+ Support the development and design transfer of new products using Advanced Quality Planning.
+ Driving continuous improvement activities for product related quality in production floor.
**Job Description**
+ Quality Engineering is responsible for product and service quality planning, evaluation, and control.
+ Works cross-functionally in the development and implementation of prevention-based methodologies used in manufacturer, test, providing data.
+ Demonstrates understanding of quality principles, systems, methods, tools, and standards.
+ Develops and implements quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.
+ Plans, controls, and assures product and process quality in accordance with quality requirements.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management.
+ Applies problem solving and quality improvement tools and techniques, including, preventative and corrective actions and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
+ Acquires and analyzes data using appropriate standard quantitative methods to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
+ Ongoing monitoring and drive quality performance in production processes to meet quality goals.
+ Ensure compliance of QMS and identify the issue and follow up through CAPA Process.
+ Support risk analysis and risk management as required.
+ Using a systematic approach to managing quality improvements and resolution of daily quality issues. Support product and process validations.
+ Customer requirements. The focus must be a proactive, prevention-based approach aimed at not creating defects. The focus is to have capable and stable manufacturing.
+ Support the QMS audit process.
+ Performs other related duties of similar type and work on assigned.
+ Emphasize company environment health and safety rules and regulations to employees and ensure compliance.
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree of Science (Quality Engineering background preferred).
+ At least ten years' experience in quality improvement related field.
+ Familiar with quality principles, methods, tools for problem solving and quality improvement programs, FMEA which may include but not limited to tracking, analyzing, reporting and tools and techniques.
+ Familiar with statistical analysis tool for data analysis.
+ Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
+ Expert in Excel i.e. graphs, power BI, vlookup etc.
+ A comprehensive understanding of quality processes, manufacturing operations and control procedures within manufacturing operations is required.
+ High attention to detail and able to propose proactive solutions.
+ Able to prioritize, plan, coordinate and influence stakeholders across various departments within manufacturing site.
+ Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a constantly changing environment.
+ Strong leadership, team player and well organized.
+ Native Thai and good command of business English.
