**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leader in ASEAN Problem Solving (PS) Committee. Organize regular meetings to review status & planning.
- Promote PS culture throughout the Plant and ASEAN at all levels.
- Promote the selection of the projects that will have the highest impact on plant metrics (eg. CoPQ) and manage all PS projects including PS initiatives from Line QRM escalation to VSM/Plant Level.
- Support production improvement process through PS projects.
- Lead cross-functional team to apply diligently a structured problem-solving methodology that best fits the situation (Shainin, SPS, Six Sigma, or other equivalent methods as described by the Shifting Gears)
- Follow up on all PS projects with the project owner and provide coaching to ensure PS methodologies are correctly applied.
- Regular project coaching with PS Master from Global, and follow-up to project closure and realize savings.
- Proactively anticipate roadblocks to find solutions and escalate when needed.
- Report out project progress, people development, and savings to the PS Committee and Management.
- Tabulate and manage Plant/ASEAN people PS skill matrix and identify training needs, plan & execution.
- Coach, Develop, and Expand Local Problem Solver Practitioners.
- Represent ASEAN in PS matters and report status to regional and global levels.
- Alignment with AP and Global PS leaders for new PS initiatives and execution.
- Any other assignments as delegated by the reporting Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
- Strong understanding of 6 Sigma tools (green belt) and Minitab usage
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and product design
- Experience in taking project using structured problem-solving methodology (Shainin Red-X, 6 Sigma, etc)
- Experience in coaching and training.
- Good English speaking and writing skills.
- Strong attention to details, with skills.
- Leadership skills and strong business acumen

**Qualifications:**
+ Degree in Quality Management/Engineering discipline.
+ Preferably with 2-5 years of working experience in Quality Assurance role of any manufacturing industry
+ Knowledge and experience in ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 standards, Quality Management System Audit, Manufacturing Process Audit, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), **Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP),** Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), 8-Discipline Methodology, 5-Why Analysis, Ishikawa Diagram Analysis and Design of Experiment (DOE) preferred.

The TE PBL Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing quality management for Private/Brand Label (PBL) suppliers to lead and work as part of a team to maintain high quality/performance standards on all TE products from PBL suppliers.

+ Lead and drive suppliers' quality improvement continuously based on TE internal or customer requirements.

**Qualifications:**
+ B.S. degree (or above) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8-12 years' working experience in supplier quality or in related quality function areas, working experience in connector, Cable assembly, Cage assembly, Antenna manufacturing is a plus.
+ Have advanced knowledge of the supplier management, certified ISO9001/IATF16949 internal auditor is preferred.
+ Clear understanding of connector, cable assembly, antenna, busbar quality and requirements, including measurement techniques, would be a distinct advantage.
+ Strong root cause analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Good knowledge in quality tools such as BKM, Cpk, SPC,8D, FMEA, Gage R&R, Poka Yoke.
+ Demonstrated negotiation skills, good communication in bridging between TE and suppliers as quality side
+ Ability for periodic travel required. (25%~50%)

+ Perform thorough statistical analysis, interpret data, optimize and coordinate the process via application of standard work procedures for yield management with a primary focus on OE TU virgin yield.
+ Coordinate the Uniformity Team to work together with Quality Process and Product Teams and Process Engineering.
+ Part of approval of changes to existing Technology, Material, Equipment and Process, scheduling by providing input to impact on Yield performance.
+ To perform root cause analysis to remedy causes for low performing yield.
+ Initiate trials in the plant required to achieve TU virgin yield targets.
+ Compilation of know how yield optimization.
+ Analyze, implement and track corrective/preventive actions with regards to Yield improvement
+ Ensure that the know-how is shared between the plants.
+ Ensures progressive reduction in Plant Scrap 7 KPI.
+ Drives early warning system to manage for Scrap 7 at article level.
+ Quality Report and Information sharing with Supplier Chain (OP).
+ Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls.
+ Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
