Purpose Statement:Individuals are expected to be self sufficient in managing the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing as detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's.

Key Job Accountabilities:

HR responsibilities:

·    This buyer will be based in ADC and will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for metal commodities, reporting directly to the Global Category Manager.

·    After the recruitment is completed, the Sourcing team will consist of three buyers, including the Global Category Manager.

Knowledge responsibilities

·    Procurement processes, compliance requirements, quality standards, and ethical sourcing policies.

Escalate the risks, roadblocks or issues faced while executing the related purchasing activities. Pro-actively look for solutions and corrective actions to mitigate the risks and delivery on the requirement.

·    Manage all procurement activities before SOP by concluding sourcing and development activities on time and to cost targets, according to Sourcing Procedures and Delegation of Authority. Work closely with PDD, STA, and Suppliers to adapt design to achieve major technical cost savings before SOP. Work closely with Legal dept. to ensure compliance of the supply agreement.

·    In alignment with the Global Category Manager, identify supplier base by commodity to support the category strategy. Send Requests For Quotations, compare and analyze offers, drive negotiations and submit final business case for approval.

·    Maintain Supplier relationships with Long Term Supply Agreement and implement Supplier scorecard to drive continuous delivery improvements. Ensure supply base delivers world class performance to quality and delivery requirements. Pro-actively identify and escalate risks and implement corrective actions when needed to protect the business. Identity and Implement Supplier reduction program and exclude non-performing suppliers

·    Work closely with Sales, PDD, STA and Suppliers to drive "Re-Design to Cost" initiatives, in order to deliver additional cost savings and reduce number of part numbers after SOP

·    IT & Processes: support all activities related to internal Purchasing process improvement and IT solutions to simplify and strengthen cross-functional working procedures, to develop Purchasing reporting tools and monitor Purchasing KPI's defined with the Global Category manager.

·    Strong understanding of the automotive parts manufacturing processes, materials (metal and non-metal), and quality standards such as IATF 16949.
