**Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures
Develop new supplier and new components, process the supplier management, conduct price negotiations and commodity management with the objective of meeting purchasing demands and cost reduction targets within the supervision of sourcing manager and TE policies, procedures and guidelines.
**Job Responsibilities**
Supplier development and qualification
+ Develop new supplier based on project demand and commodity strategy; Do supplier analysis and lead audit to find the right source (quality, cost, service
Pricingand term negotiation
+ Handle NPI and sustaining project RFQ, arrange SSR among team alignment
+ Negotiate with suppliers in order to get the best price and terms.
Contract Preparation & Review
+ Negotiate contract terms with supplier, and submit contract for approval in order to avoid legal/commercial risks.
+ Supplier Ordering for NPI or Other Sample Requirement
+ Create orders according to PR (Purchasing Request); Follow up PO (Purchasing Order) in order to ensure material delivery (timeliness, quality, quantity).
System Maintenance
+ Material master data maintain
+ IR application in system and regular verification
+ SSU application
+ Supplier compliance survey driving
Supplier Management
+ Regular supplier review meeting to drive improvement on supplier quality/cost/delivery
+ Visit supplier and invite supplier to visit periodically in order to strength strategic relationship
+ Support annual supplier audit
KPI driving
+ Negotiate with suppliers for cost reduction based on cost analysis/demand/market data,push back cost increase
+ Drive cost reduction opportunity with engineering team, lead VA/VE projects
+ Drive dual source, LCL, VMI/consignment with team
New components qualification
+ Process samples qualification and FAIR document preparation in order to ensure the new project process smoothly
Cross-function supporting
+ Support buyer team to solve supplier problem on delivery and payment issue.
+ Support quality team on quality improvement, RMA, customer complaints
+ Support NPI and MPDE activity to accelerate the NPI launch
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor or above degree, engineering background preferred.
+ 10+ years of electronics industry sourcing experience, international/cross functional experience will be preferred
+ Fluent English, both written and spoken
