Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Recruitment Manager to lead our student recruitment efforts within Thailand for our current Global Academy and future initiatives. Your primary mission will be to develop and implement effective strategies to attract, convert, and enrol talented international and Thai students in the onshore Thailand market into our international programs based here in Thailand.
This role is ideal for a candidate fluent in Thai and English, with a proven track record in higher education recruitment in Thailand, an extensive network of local contacts, and a deep understanding of the Thai education landscape. You will be the key driver in building our brand presence and student pipeline across the country. While based in Bangkok, this role requires a willingness to travel extensively domestically.
You will report to the Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions and work closely with our team in Bangkok and colleagues in other regions. This is a unique opportunity to grow professionally within a rapidly expanding organisation that is committed to redefining higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Local Agent & Partner Management:
- Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with a network of education agents and counsellors across Thailand.
- Identify, recruit, and activate new high-quality agent partners to expand our reach into key cities and provinces.
- Provide comprehensive training, marketing materials, and ongoing support to ensure agents accurately represent our programs and brand.
Monitor agent performance against targets and develop incentive schemes to drive results.
Institutional Relationship Management:
Build and maintain a strong network of partnerships with key Thai high schools, international schools, and educational counsellors to develop direct recruitment channels.
- Events & Activities:
Represent the Global Academy at education fairs, school visits, seminars, community events across Thailand, and manage related events and visitors (agents, students, partners) at the Global Academy.
- Recruitment Strategy & Execution:
Execute a targeted recruitment plan to meet and exceed enrolment targets for onshore students.
- Localised Marketing & Outreach:
Collaborate with the central marketing team to adapt and localise promotional materials (e.g., brochures, social media content) to resonate with the onshore student and parent audience.
- Student Counselling & Admissions Support:
Provide expert guidance to prospective students and their parents on program benefits, admission requirements, and the enrolment process. Work closely with our Admissions Team and Student Services Team to ensure a smooth student journey from application to enrolment.
- Market Intelligence:
Analyse domestic education trends, competitor activity, and student preferences within Thailand to inform and adapt our recruitment strategies.
- Performance Tracking:
Regularly report on recruitment progress, pipeline status, and conversion rates, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in student recruitment, preferably within the Thai market (e.g., for university or education agency).
- Bachelor's degree in any related field.
- Excellent existing connections within the Thai education sector.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed enrolment targets.
- Demonstrable experience in managing education agents and building recruitment channels within Thailand.
- Deep understanding of the Thai education system, both local and international school pathways, and the decision-making process of Thai students and parents.
- Legal authorisation to work in Thailand (essential).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Thai and English (essential).
