Job Description
The School is looking for a qualified and highly motivated candidate with a passion for taking care of children. The candidate will work primarily with students in the classroom, supporting them with their learning.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with groups or individuals within a variety of curriculum areas to develop the physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social skills of students and motivating/supporting students to engage in classroom activities
- Develop and deepen the students' knowledge and understanding through support and encouragement in the learning activities undertaken
- Assist in the preparation of activities and, where necessary, adapting resources provided by the relevant teacher to meet the needs of students with English as an additional language or special educational needs
- Carry out additional duties such as tidying up classrooms and shared spaces (indoors and outdoors) and serving snacks etc. if working with younger children
- Assist with assessment and written observations and records on individuals' progress as well as feeding back information regarding the well-being, educational and developmental needs of students to the relevant teacher(s)
- Accompany students on trips, camps and expeditions under the overall supervision of the teacher(s).
- Contribute to the positive management of student behaviour
- Supervise students for occasional short periods in the event of the teacher having to be called away.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required
- Be aware of School Child Protection Procedures and reporting any concerns noted in the course of duty in accordance with such procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Assist or leading the organisation of at least one regular extra-curricular activity
- Take part in school activities or events as required including 2 after school activities per week
- Administer tasks and tests under the direction of teaching staff
- Support and supervising students during break and lunchtimes
- Assist in preparing, mounting and removing wall displays and other curriculum-related tasks as required (including curriculum-related clerical tasks)
- Maintain the health and safety of pupils and colleagues in the school by assisting in keeping a clean and tidy environment and removing any hazards or reporting hazards that cannot be dealt with to the appropriate member of staff
- If working with younger children, providing personal care and assistance for students who require such support. This may include assisting with oral and personal hygiene including changing nappies/pads and assisting with eating
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required.

1. Follow all agreed School Policy and procedures as shared and in the Staff Handbooks
2. Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Department, Head of Faculty or members of the Senior Leadership Team

- Bachelor Degree
- Experience of working as a teaching assistant or relevant experience preferred

8.Contribute to the development of the whole-school, including attendance at staff meetings, in-service training days and through membership of 'task / working groups' and through support of school functions.
9.Maintain an interest in, and overview of, educational developments, especially in relation to teaching and learning.
10.Maintain a full application of the principles laid down in school policy documentation - e.g. Code of Conduct, Dress Code, etc.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake supervision duties at break or lunchtime and before or after school.
- Undertake any other duties that the Headmaster, Head of Primary or Head of Teaching Assistant may reasonably request from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor Degree
- Minimum no. of years of working experience: 0-2 years.
