  • Knowledge in handling special processes such as Casting/Heat treatment/Welding/Brazing/Assembly/Contamination control/Machining are an added advantage

BEFORE SOP, DESIGN REVIEW AND PRODUCT APPROVAL:  As soon as a Supplier is Nomination to supply a Product, review the design of the product to ensure that all Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) are a) clearly defined by RMA engineering and b) are approved between the supplier and RMA engineering, and c) design is signed-off by both Parties as an integral part of the contract or the PO

·    Lead the APQP events with supplier for all New Product Development and organize regular progress review between Supplier and RMA cross functional team.

·    Based on program volume, agree with Engineering and Quality on PPAP elements required for Part collect all PPAP elements required in alignment with project milestones

AFTER SOP, SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AND MONITORING

·    Drive resolution of supplier quality issues arose in plant. Lead containment action plan

·    Review supplier corrective actions and 8D response

·    Manage meetings with problematic suppliers and follow-up

·    Coordinate with Purchasing team members for consistent low performing suppliers.

·    Monitor supplier quality performance and take lead in activities to improve nonperforming supplier. Track improvements or prevent sourcing team to award new business with permanent low performing supplier by updating the supplier approved list with a blacklist tagging system

·    Manage supplier training to increase and develop supplier base capabilities.

Financial Responsibilities

Ensure quality of materials delivered meet specifications, cost variation are technically justified, and outsourced testing and laboratory services are managed at optimal levels to ensure projects are kept on budget and on time.

Travel Requirements

Up to 60% of the time for supplier visits (domestic and international) according to project needs.

Background and experience

·    Minimum Bachelor of Engineering.

·    Strong advantage if: IATF 16949:2016 Requirement and Implementation training or ISO16949 Lead auditor, VDA 6.3 Process auditor, GD&T Training, MSA Training, SPC Training, PFMEA Training, Six Sigma training, Lean Manufacturing System training, experience in Injection Plastic Molding.

·    Knowledge of CAD data systems

·    Excellent MS Office skills (particularly in Excel). ERP Knowledge

·    Able to work under pressure.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Technical Field Advisor you will spend most of the time on customer site and service for SGT-800 Gas turbine maintenance with EHS and Quality. You will be Siemens Energy representatives on site.

How You'll Make an Impact

To ensure that work is conducted in such a way that requirements imposed by authorities and by other involved parties are fulfilled.

  • Take ownership for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) issues on site for the company's undertaking.
  • Lead and coordinate erection and assembly activities in accordance with time schedule and cost estimate.
  • Coordinate erection/assembly activities in accordance with valid instructions, check lists, specifications and regulations.
  • Reports technical investigations (non-conformance reports).
  • Participate in order specific reviews for larger project.
  • Reports or updates on product related faults and improvements and gives feedback to product line responsible.
  • Supervision and co-ordination of consultants, contractors, and customer staff.
  • Keep availability of all training courses and certificates e.g. LOTO, Electrical Safety at Work, H2S, Confined spaces, Hot work and First aid
  • Follow established safe work methods and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with valid EHS regulations.
  • Collaborate with team across the countries, third party and customer personnel in a respectful and professional manner, always act as an ambassador within Siemens Energy. Always collaborate and connect with our internal customers and practice Siemens ownership culture and take responsibility for a task or a fault until it is addressed accordingly.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering or any related field.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in gas turbine or related engineering field
  • Ability to handle pressure and have service mind.
  • Communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of English both written & spoken skills and proficient in MS Office
