Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in relevant engineering stream(s) or equivalent is required such as Mechanical/Metallurgy/Matl. Science & Engg/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical & Electronics/Polymer Science/Mechatronics/Chemical/Automobile/Aerospace/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation

Core skill set:

  • Manufacturing: Hands on experience and good knowledge in handling Powertrain parts and processes such as but not limited to Aluminium casting, Iron castings, Forgings, Welding, Brazing, Machining, Assembly processes, Plating, Coating, Ferrous Matl, Non-ferrous Matl, Stainless steel, etc.
  • Knowledge in handling Electrified Powertrain parts, Cell manufacturing, Battery pack, Mechatronics parts, DC - DC convertor, Voltage Boost Inductor, ETB, Sensors, etc. are an added advantage
  • Knowledge in handling special processes such as Casting/Heat treatment/Welding/Brazing/Assembly/Contamination control/Machining are an added advantage

HR Responsibility:

·    Depending on Programs to be launched, the Senior STA Engineer may be allocated some permanent or outsourced STA engineers to be managed for the duration of specific projects. Their location might be in Thailand or in oversea locations of the suppliers.

·    The Senior STA Engineer will have to:

·    Cascade and explains company and project information; Conveys performance expectations, define and monitor the allocated STA engineer KPI's.

·    Proactively act as a coach and mentor to his potential subordinates to enable them to improve their skills and knowledge in alignment with the automotive industry standards.

·    conduct quarterly and yearly performance review, define required training and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Functional responsibilities

·    STA are core members of the Sourcing Team supporting the Global Category Managers that define and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with the Program team. The Senior STA manager and his assigned STA engineer will execute the daily activities efficiently and effectively around two main phases, before and after the Start of Production (SOP):

·    Before SOP: Supplier Audit, Design Technical Review, Pre-Production Part Approval (PPAP), Supplier Process Audit, Supplier Tooling approval

·    After SOP: Claim management, Root cause problem solving, Supplier Performance Monitoring, PPAP for ECR/ECN or resourcing activities to support material cost reduction, and proactive quality initiatives.

SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT AND ON-BOARDING: when required, conduct preliminary "light" audit system for potential suppliers to support the Global Category Managers during RFI/RFQ phase (Supplier Preliminary Audit)

·    perform complete audit system prior to award any business (New Supplier Audit)

·    Process audit to support PPAP approval phases (Part and Process Audit)

BEFORE SOP, DESIGN REVIEW AND PRODUCT APPROVAL:  As soon as a Supplier is Nomination to supply a Product, review the design of the product to ensure that all Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) are a) clearly defined by RMA engineering and b) are approved between the supplier and RMA engineering, and c) design is signed-off by both Parties as an integral part of the contract or the PO

·    Lead the APQP events with supplier for all New Product Development and organize regular progress review between Supplier and RMA cross functional team.

·    Based on program volume, agree with Engineering and Quality on PPAP elements required for Part collect all PPAP elements required in alignment with project milestones

AFTER SOP, SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AND MONITORING

·    Drive resolution of supplier quality issues arose in plant. Lead containment action plan

·    Review supplier corrective actions and 8D response

·    Manage meetings with problematic suppliers and follow-up

·    Coordinate with Purchasing team members for consistent low performing suppliers.

·    Monitor supplier quality performance and take lead in activities to improve nonperforming supplier. Track improvements or prevent sourcing team to award new business with permanent low performing supplier by updating the supplier approved list with a blacklist tagging system

·    Manage supplier training to increase and develop supplier base capabilities.

Financial Responsibilities

Ensure quality of materials delivered meet specifications, cost variation are technically justified, and outsourced testing and laboratory services are managed at optimal levels to ensure projects are kept on budget and on time.

+ Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, monitoring, and execution

+ Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions. 8D Process, 6 Sigma
**Communication Skills:**
+ Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
+ Proficient in both English and Thai language - Read, Write, Speak. Knowing Chinese is a preferred advantage

+ Industry Trends: Awareness of current trends and advancements in Automotive technologies

Note: The Site STA job requires frequent travel to suppliers located in Thailand and occasionally outside of Thailand as well. Overall, the job involves an estimated travel time up to 80%. The job also involves working on different time zones from time-to-time to manage the global business needs.

Job Description

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer science /IT or related field.
  • Experience 1-2 years' experience on Operation Support or Customer Service
  • Good interpersonal skill, service mind, human relation and communication skill, good command of English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer, Computer & Basic program, and Power BI / Tableau. If use Python, PHP, SQL will be specially considered
  • Knowledge in Internet Network and problem-solving skills
  • Good at multitasking and good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
