**Summary**
The NPD Technical Program Manager is accountable for planning and driving through the design and manufacturing engineering team for successful NPI launch. **Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
● Technical PM will be the interface/point of contact between product design team and manufacturing site.
● Coordinating the transfer of design on failure analysis in processes at manufacturing sites.
● Interface with product design teams to provide DFx feedback throughout the product development cycle.
● Develop PCBA manufacture SOW, statement of work, for new product launch.
● Lead POC project
● Present and communicate status to the business leaders and customers. Review and interpret design specifications and provide feedback to the manufacturing site.
● Engage with cross functional design engineering teams, i.e. product engineering, design verification & reliability validation, to successfully launch new products into
Manufacturing.
● Responsible for design transfer include the review of test vehicles design and implementation plan for mass production.
● Continuous review of equipment and processes to ensure high efficiency and quality.
● To drive activities in identification and continuous improvement of yield rate, scrap reduction, manufacturing process root cause failure analysis and correction reduction, and
cost reduction.
● Review the development, configuration and industrial process optimization plan and manage the implementation schedule.
● Improve customer satisfaction and drive overall operational requirements from
customers.
● Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies. Manage and utilize resources across projects
● To support problem solving of moderate scope and complexity.
● To support the project teams: R&D, NPI and Gate transitions, ensure the smooth transition to mass production phase, and adhoc requests.
● To Coordinate related tasks, and engineering changes with internal team and Manufacturing team.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
1. Technical Understanding: While not necessarily needing to be a deep expert of product design,
2. NPI technical manager will need to have comprehensive technical knowledge of the manufacturing process . This understanding helps in communicating effectively with technical teams and understanding project requirements.
3. Project Management: Strong project management skills are essential to coordinate various aspects of process engineering , including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
4. Domain Knowledge: Depending on the industry the accelerated compute program serves, having domain-specific knowledge in server, storage and network switches will be a plus. Understanding the business context and specific challenges within the industry helps in the execution of the product systems programs that truly address the needs of the stakeholders.
5. Communication Skills: Effective communication is key to aligning diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, clients, and end-users. + Conduct technology assessments for new products, influencing design decisions to mitigate manufacturing risks and ensure long-term product reliability.
+ Serve as the technical liaison between Design and Operations Engineering, ensuring key manufacturing deliverables like DFx (Design for Excellence) are met. This includes DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Test).
+ Identify potential design to manufacturing risks and, actively provide solutions or mitigation on both manufacturing and design.
+ Monitor early pilot production runs, DOE results, Test and reliability data for early capture of gaps between design and manufacturing processes. Drive solutions to improve product quality and readiness for high volume manufacturing.
+ Partner with Quality teams to support second-source part qualification and resolve component and build quality issues.
+ Engage with key components and material suppliers on critical specifications, capabilities, or quality risks.
+ Actively participate and influence exit phase reviews and final design validation.

1. Strong knowledge of product development cycles (EVT, DVT, PVT) and processes

+ Lead testing programs during all phases of the design process, including technical oversight of assigned test engineers.
+ Design, develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas. Lead smaller projects and may coordinate with other engineers including reviews of their work.
+ Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. e.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
+ Develop test plans to address testing requirements provided by a requesting organization. Test plans include test equipment concept, procedures, cost estimate, etc.
+ Coordinate with the requesting organizations to ensure the planned testing will meet their needs.
+ Review and interpret customer documentation, conduct appropriate research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.
+ Creates technical proposals (solution and timelines) based on requirements.
+ Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems
+ Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
+ Perform testing, in coordination with the Operations group. Ensure operational discipline is maintained by operators and test engineers and that testing is executed per plan and in a safe manner.
+ Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
+ Analyze and interpret data and information
+ Recommend modifications for systems
+ Create reports and documentation
+ Make presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Strong knowledge on test development (SW and Test fixtures)
+ Familiarity with Altium Designer and PCB fabrication
+ Proven strong knowledge on test programming development (Python, labview / Test Stand)
+ Knowledge on fixtures design, setup/integration
+ Good verbal, and written communication skills in English.
+ Must have experience with disciplined operations.
+ Must have experience working with and coordinating well with multiple intercompany organizations.
**Typical Experience**
+ Minimum of 7+ years of experience Structural and Functional Test development / support for electronic / automotive industry
**Typical Education**
+ Degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
