Qualifications
Education / Knowledge
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in relevant engineering stream(s) or equivalent is required such as Mechanical/Metallurgy/Matl. Science & Engg/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical & Electronics/Polymer Science/Mechatronics/Chemical/Automobile/Aerospace/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation

Core skill set:

  • Manufacturing: Hands on experience and good knowledge in handling Powertrain parts and processes such as but not limited to Aluminium casting, Iron castings, Forgings, Welding, Brazing, Machining, Assembly processes, Plating, Coating, Ferrous Matl, Non-ferrous Matl, Stainless steel, etc.
  • Knowledge in handling Electrified Powertrain parts, Cell manufacturing, Battery pack, Mechatronics parts, DC - DC convertor, Voltage Boost Inductor, ETB, Sensors, etc. are an added advantage
  • Knowledge in handling special processes such as Casting/Heat treatment/Welding/Brazing/Assembly/Contamination control/Machining are an added advantage
  • Automotive Standards: Familiar with Automotive Industry standard, tools, and techniques such as but not limited to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, CQI, etc.

Other skill set:

  • Data Analysis Software: Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, ppt, statistical analysis software) - Preferred

HR Responsibility:

·    Depending on Programs to be launched, the Senior STA Engineer may be allocated some permanent or outsourced STA engineers to be managed for the duration of specific projects. Their location might be in Thailand or in oversea locations of the suppliers.

·    The Senior STA Engineer will have to:

·    Cascade and explains company and project information; Conveys performance expectations, define and monitor the allocated STA engineer KPI's.

·    Proactively act as a coach and mentor to his potential subordinates to enable them to improve their skills and knowledge in alignment with the automotive industry standards.

·    conduct quarterly and yearly performance review, define required training and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Functional responsibilities

·    STA are core members of the Sourcing Team supporting the Global Category Managers that define and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with the Program team. The Senior STA manager and his assigned STA engineer will execute the daily activities efficiently and effectively around two main phases, before and after the Start of Production (SOP):

·    Before SOP: Supplier Audit, Design Technical Review, Pre-Production Part Approval (PPAP), Supplier Process Audit, Supplier Tooling approval

·    After SOP: Claim management, Root cause problem solving, Supplier Performance Monitoring, PPAP for ECR/ECN or resourcing activities to support material cost reduction, and proactive quality initiatives.

SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT AND ON-BOARDING: when required, conduct preliminary "light" audit system for potential suppliers to support the Global Category Managers during RFI/RFQ phase (Supplier Preliminary Audit)

·    perform complete audit system prior to award any business (New Supplier Audit)

·    Process audit to support PPAP approval phases (Part and Process Audit)

BEFORE SOP, DESIGN REVIEW AND PRODUCT APPROVAL:  As soon as a Supplier is Nomination to supply a Product, review the design of the product to ensure that all Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) are a) clearly defined by RMA engineering and b) are approved between the supplier and RMA engineering, and c) design is signed-off by both Parties as an integral part of the contract or the PO

·    Lead the APQP events with supplier for all New Product Development and organize regular progress review between Supplier and RMA cross functional team.

·    Based on program volume, agree with Engineering and Quality on PPAP elements required for Part collect all PPAP elements required in alignment with project milestones

AFTER SOP, SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AND MONITORING

·    Drive resolution of supplier quality issues arose in plant. Lead containment action plan

·    Review supplier corrective actions and 8D response

·    Manage meetings with problematic suppliers and follow-up

·    Coordinate with Purchasing team members for consistent low performing suppliers.

·    Monitor supplier quality performance and take lead in activities to improve nonperforming supplier. Track improvements or prevent sourcing team to award new business with permanent low performing supplier by updating the supplier approved list with a blacklist tagging system

·    Manage supplier training to increase and develop supplier base capabilities.

Financial Responsibilities

Ensure quality of materials delivered meet specifications, cost variation are technically justified, and outsourced testing and laboratory services are managed at optimal levels to ensure projects are kept on budget and on time.

  • Support Capacity Purchase team in capacity studies interfacing with suppliers and Ford cross-functional teams.
  • Review supplier incremental tooling work plans compliance to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements
  • Drive capacity/uplift actions implementation with suppliers in line with the GCP study requirements
  • Drive Supplier Process capacity issues resolution as needed – Production constraint risk mitigation working with Ford and Supplier teams and manage "date to green" plan
  • Monitor supply status of 24/7 roster suppliers and Blue bar status of PPAPs beyond implementation timing
  • Review supplier Capacity Analysis Reports (CAR) for compliance to uplift capacity requirements.
  • Drive robust Supplier Failure Mode Avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, CP reviews, Manufacturing feasibility reviews and Health chart deployment as applicable.
  • Drive Supplier manufacturing health chart compliance and support development of new health charts
  • Drive suppliers for Special process compliance with the support of STA Technical Specialists
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence with the assigned sites through Q1-MSA deployment, Q1 attainment/ retention, Health chart deployment, Supplier training as required.
  • Drive deployment & improvement of Quality performance requirements (Q1, QR, TGW, R/1000, CPU), through Warranty Reduction, Benchmarking, Lean Manufacturing, G8D (Global 8 Disciplines) methodology, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), etc.) as required.
  • Drive new supplier site evaluations and Supplier Risk Assessment on new sourcing in support of GCST, identifying Risk Mitigation.
  • Drive closure of supplier process Quality issues related to Stop Ship/Build, BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects and Field Action Stop Ship/Prevent Action
  • Drive compliance to all organizational and corporate training requirements and SIM process compliance.

Candidate Specification

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is typically required.

Skill/Knowledge

1.    Technical Knowledge:

Electrical Systems: Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution.

Electronics: Knowledge of electronic components, PCB design, and embedded systems.

Automotive Standards: Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).

Testing and Validation: Experience with testing methodologies and validation processes for electrical components and systems.

2.    Software Proficiency:

About the Team

As a leading Chinese cobot export manufacturer, the APAC region is one of the important regions for Dobot. The key function of this role is to provide world class Technical Support (on robots and applications) and Training to our partner network.

Provide expert technical support to our channel partners and end users

Reporting directly to our Technical leader, you will be responsible for supporting our channel partners and end users. Your primary tasks will be to support, train and develop our users and partners in SEA&SA. Technical support will be handled through either email, telephone or on site at our users' premises. You will be travelling approximately 90 days a year. Your role will include the following tasks:


• Providing technical support to channel partners


• Providing robotic application support and consultations to channel partners and Dobot sales team


• Developing/ Translating technical training curriculums and conducting technical training courses for channel partners and technical workshops for end users


• Developing partners and users' technical knowledge and competencies in Dobot robots and applications


• Preparing/Translating technical documentation


• Participating in customer visits


• Participating in trade shows and seminars


• Developing applications for trade shows and seminars

Qualifications:

The job demands that you have documented practical experience within developing and supporting robot applications. To gain success in the job it is important that you are outgoing, service-minded and able to manage and influence technical developments in channel partners and that you can navigate at different organizational levels and in different customer situations. You should have experience from a support department – preferably with experience within diagnosis and debugging. The job demands that you have documented practical experience within automation – preferably with knowledge of mechanical and electronic products. Furthermore, you have experience with technical training and customer visits. To be considered for the job it is vital that you are fluent in English.

The ideal candidate has:


• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science related subject

About the Role

The Technical Support Associate is responsible for the installation and post-sales support of restaurant technology. This role will interface with restaurants and customers to optimize Resto's services in the local markets where we operate. This operations-driven position will manage partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and train restaurant staff on Resto products, including hardware and networking devices—terminals, kiosks, handheld devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Collaborate with the menu team to properly set up and configure the restaurant's menu prior to installation, and assist with menu requests as needed after installation.
  • Independently determine restaurant priorities and the sequence of implementation steps based on restaurant needs and menu design options.
  • Respond to and resolve incoming calls, chats, tickets, and cases efficiently and accurately.
  • Collect, organize, and address feedback from restaurant partners and customers.
  • Communicate with restaurants to understand their needs, and optimize business performance by identifying opportunities to implement impactful solutions.
  • Collaborate with central operations, product, and engineering teams to drive local adoption of new products, processes, and plans.
  • Work with the local team to ensure the growth and profitability of our restaurant technology solutions.
  • Identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with the local restaurant technology sales team to ensure execution.

Qualifications

  • Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience is preferred (If you have no work experience, we can also train you to become an excellent implementation engineer).
  • Prior experience in a startup is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
