Job Summary

The position of Transport Manager has management responsibility for the provision of the contracted outcome deliverables by Linfox to the Minor Food contract and their customers at the Bang Na site/region.

These services include management of the distribution operation out of the Bang Na site behalf of the Minor Food contract to customers in Thailand.

The Transport Manager is required to manage a proactive and effective Transport Department team responsible for distribution to and from the Store, Factory, Supplier (Back Haul), the management of pallet and returnable packaging control; responsibility for duty/toll/Fuel paid to the team; and the associated administrative and reporting functions.

Key Accountability

Process

• Coordinate the provision of the contracted outcome deliverables by Linfox to the Minor Food contract and their customers in a timely and effective and efficient manner.
• Overseeing the efficient and profitable performance of the Minor Food Distribution operation.  This includes maximizing vehicle utilization (both time and volume); maximizing the return of revenue per hour; being personally involved in non-management.
• Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of operations within the transport management responsibilities through the development of timely, accurate and auditable pallet and Returnable Packaging process.
• Enhancing the effectiveness and use of the SAP eWM, and/or TMS, GPS e.g. through integration of the various fleets.
• Ensure the timely delivery of regular reports through the various reporting systems, including daily invoicing and the weekly revenue, profit/loss summaries.

Customer

• The effective utilization of distribution resources which will deliver the most productive outcomes for Linfox while meeting or exceeding the customer service benchmarks of our client.
• Deliver the most productive outcomes for Linfox through the effective utilization of transport resources while meeting or exceeding the customer service benchmarks of our client.
• Develops and maintains relationships and contacts with customers' managers to enable objectives to be met.
• Ensures agreed customer objectives and measures are met.

Finance

• Produce budget, resource and capital planning and weekly key performance reporting and analysis to ensure an efficient and cost-effective transport operation.
• The development of a sound customer base which maximizes our transport capabilities and maintains business development opportunities.
• Effectively utilize fleet and facilities to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective operation.
• Implement initiatives that ensure cost containment, maximize profit and meet budget and customer objectives.

People

• Developing and maintaining an effective interface between transport, warehouse operational, Subcontractor, Customers & Stores and administration personnel.
• Ensure adequate levels of appropriately trained employees and contractors are available to effectively maintain customer service levels.
• Anticipate and satisfactorily resolves all problems and issues with customers, equipment and staff.
• Ensure effective communication between Linfox, customer, employees and contractors.
• Developing own potential and that of the personnel working in the warehouse to ensure effective succession planning.
• Acting in accordance with corporate values and ensuring other Linfox employees do the same.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics Management, Transport Management, or any related fields.
• Extensive experience of managing transport vendors and own fleets for ambient and cold chain with multi temperature control. No. of fleet daily control at least about 200 trucks per day with 1,000 -1,200 delivery shops
• Strong technical knowledge of transportation operating methods and equipment requirements.
• Knowledge of overall supply chain with focus on store operations and transport industry.
• Customer service experience and skills.
• Extensive background comprising of on-the-job training, work experience, administrative systems and specific skills development within a retail environment.
• Understanding logic of multi-planning method, delivery status tracking and transport billing processes
• Staff management experience including negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
• Able to work at Samutprakan, Bangna KM.19

Job Scope

Qualification

1. To perform all IEAT Free Zone import and export customs formality correctly and completely to meet Essilor's requirement.

2. To check all related documents e.g. AWB, B/L, Invoice, Packing List, Import/Export Entry, Manifest, etc. are matched prior to instruction clearing shipments to the assigned forwarders to assure no discrepancies.

3. To ensure all customs entry must be corrected and completed.

4. To prepare data to apply LPI (License per invoice) with FDA for release FSV Lenses import shipment on time

5. To validate HS Code all import products before submitting Customs

6. To coordinate with freight forwarder agent to make sure that import and export shipment were done smoothly in appropriated time

7. To accelerate shipment clearance and on time delivery to satisfy any users' requirements for cost saving of Essilor at most.

8. To assure to select the best shipment transport provider to serve Essilor according to the agreed shipment term for cost saving, good care and service and on time delivery purposes.

9. To review and negotiate with forwarders for a reasonable price, fee and incoterms.

10. To evaluate the shipping agent and forwarder performance for continuous improvement.

11.To follow and monitor shipment to be sure deliver on schedule.

1. To follow all procedures and work instructions related to import-export activities.

2. To coordinate and support all sections/departments requests with high efficient activities and smooth process.

3. To coordinate with supplier of transportation modes and process.

4. EMTC's shipment must be passed customs process under IEAT-Free Zone regulation.

16.To follow up customs entry status0409 to recording in Import System on time.

1. To create AWB of Courier mode to meet customer requirement and correct incoterm.

2. To validate billing cost before sending to the accounting team.

3. Understand import-export clearance process every mode such as Truck, Air, Sea and Courier.

Qualification

1. Understand the operation rules of the logistics industry.

2. Know well about Thai law, Thailand Regulations, DIW, FDA, DFT, IEAT, Customs, Free Trade Zone, BOI and Bonded.

3. Know well about the requirements of Thailand import and export documents, with the practical operation experience of document preparation.

4. Have good interpersonal communication skills, be able to cooperate with Thai governments.

5. Be sensitive about the adjustment and change of import and export policies and actively obtain the updates of industry and national policies and apply them to work improvement.

6. Know well about financial process.

7. Know well about logistics process in Thailand.

8. Good command in both written and spoken English.

• Inspect the transportation work every day.

Job Qualifications:

• Responsible for the development of third-party Logistic(3PL) resources and contract signing, formulating distribution coverage, freight rates and distribution plans.
• Analyze the delivery/Transportation cost of large item products, review the delivery cost and continuously optimize the delivery operation cost structure.
• Responsible for the establishment, management and improvement of the distribution service network in the region, and responsible for the distribution capacity and service quality.
• Manage transportation cost budget and performance for the company's logistics
• Manage transport invoice and payment process
• Monitor PO balance, approval and ensure payment transactions according to contractual term and conditions

Qualifications:
