Who You Are
EDUCATION

This role will support roll-out new tools, a new data operating model and the use BI Visualization / Data Integration techniques to improve processes and decision-making across all life insurance activities.

This is new role within a new team and report directly to Head of Data Analytics

**Key Responsibilities **Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

- Work independently and with team members to understand database structure and business processes from IT engineers, IT Services and business stakeholders to drive development of business analytics and automate reporting requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and Business Stakeholder to document business processes, Analysis of the source systems data, understanding of the metadata and creating the data mapping document.
- Business requirement gathering & design visualization using QlikSense. Microsoft SQL Integration Services (SSIS) and/or work with outsource vendors to implement according to requirement.
- Understand the current state BI landscape and empowering users with data self-service reporting.
- Be part of data validation/verification process. Build proactive data validation automation to catch data integrity issues.
- Help the developers, system analyst to understand the flow of data, data understanding and logics, various data issues and mitigation approach of incomplete, incorrect data in consultation with business and technical teams.
- Ability to organize and lead meetings with business and operational data owner.
- Performs knowledge transfer around using data visualizations to business stakeholders.
- Develops reports and presentations in ad-hoc basis, as needed.
- Minimum 7-10 years of hand-on experience as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, CRM Analyst.
- Bachelor's degree in IT Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or any other relevant degrees
- Expertise in multiple technical environments and possesses business knowledge that spans one or more business areas.
- Experience working with large datasets & communicating clear data stories through visualizations/dashboards/reports
- Knowledge of life insurance is a plus.
- Experience in scripting PLSQL with Relational DB preferably MS SQL
- Strong in excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Python, R Programming
- Experience working with statistical programming software such as R and Python.
- Good in data visualization tools such as Qilksense or have experience in Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and data modeling skills with the ability to construct accurate queries/reports upon request.
- Able to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in leading small project teams and streams.
- Ability to work in an emerging team where there are uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
