Summary
Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees performing diverse roles within large sites. This includes establishing three- to five-year plans/objectives, and developing policies for the function/unit. Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-functional, national, or regional basis. Work is guided by broad site objectives and corporate policy. Work requires developing solutions, precedents, and/or policies. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and sets goals to achieve objectives. Establishes long-term plans/objectives and recommends changes to policies. Develops department budgets and goals. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in critical delay in schedules and/or unit operation and may also have a company-wide affect. Provides direct supervision to others, or indirect through subordinate supervisors, and coordinates the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees. Reviews employees performance and recommends employee compensation; coaches for improved performance and disciplines as necessary. Provides final approval for subordinate managers/supervisors salary and performance recommendations. Builds cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, negotiation skills, and considerable tact are required to gain support. Interacts regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. Maintains positive relationships with key customers, suppliers, etc., who have a significant impact on the success of the organization.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Manages engineering projects for development and production.
• Responsibilities include providing project definition and metrics, resource allocation, budget development and management, schedule management, task prioritization, contingency planning, project and program review.
• Communicates progress and results to senior management and customers.
• Works with Corporate and other Technical Managers to develop and maintain a process for determining which projects to staff based on customer demands and industry trends.
• Manages equipment selection, chemical computability, Design For Manufacture, process transfers, and qualification and reliability methodologies.
• Duties may be performed at the on-site at a customers location.
• Develops solutions based upon existing knowledge, and leveraging industry and other sites capabilities.
• Responsible for coordinating activities with customer and other sites to ensure maximization of resources and efficiencies across the NPI process.
• Responsible for overall management and success of the NPI function and its ability to transition and support products and processes to manufacturing.
• Project management and coordination of activities of a technical nature involving the analysis and modification of manufacturing methods to improve cost of manufacturing or support services, mfg.
• Processes, efficiencies, technical capabilities, engineering support, or for unique customer requirements.
• Project management may take place within the entire department, a sub-team within the department, across a Business Unit, etc.

Job Scope

1. Lead the technical product development of multiple innovation projects, working closely with marketing team or OEM customer to determine concept and scope, as well as with Regulatory Affair for the development and substantiation of claims

1. Responsible for the total product performance, including, but not limited to palatability, digestibility, faces quality and nutrition, and ensure corrective actions are in place to close any gaps that may arise

Job Details

1. Utilize consumer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities. And collaborate with cross functional teams, including marketing, production, quality assurance, and suppliers to develop and execute new product development initiatives and improve product offerings
2. Research and develop new pet food product concepts, formulations, production trial and prototypes that create safe, quality, taste consistency, nutrition, appealing pet food products and meet consumer needs that are followed by product development process and align with business objectives
3. Conduct the palatability panel for different products and finding new palatability method. Perform consumer sensory testing and shelf life studies for prelaunch products. Improve current products with regards to both cost quality and palatability
4. Managing a team of product technologists and other professionals involved in various aspects of pet food process improvement and production technology

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animal Science or a related field

At least 3-5 years of experience in pet food product development, with a track record of successful product launches

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions

Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, food science, pet food production process and technology

Understanding of AAFCO, FIDIAF and DLD regulations related to pet food product development

Job Description

Product Development

• Lead the entire product lifecycle and be responsible for all aspects of product comprising of project management and product development both planning and execution e.g. NPD, Renewal, Product change, Factory change, Product artwork, Product code change, Product quality, Intellectual Property management, etc.
• Work closely, implement and coordinate with regional and global brand team on product development & projects management.

FDA, RA, Compliance management

• To ensure that all products comply with FDA and regulations.
• To handle any issues related to FDA. Lead, execute and coordinate with RA team on the new FDA notification, Renew licenses, Product label, etc. withing time frame for all FT brands.
• Responsible for ensuring product compliance and registration—including FDA licensing—by execute and verifying label accuracy against Thai FDA regulations, maintaining records of RA dossiers and approvals

Product Complaint Service

• To manage and resolve product quality complaints from customers in a timely and professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction
• Coordinating with internal teams (RA, QA, manufacturing, supply chain) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Receive and record complaints with accurate and complete information.
• Track and update complaint status, ensuring visibility and traceability.
• Arrange for product retrieval or sample analysis, if required.
• Follow up on investigation progress and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare reports on complaints, product issues, and customer feedback to RA team

Operation

• To manage and control redressing sticker stock for all incoming shipment both NPD and existing products.
• To handle and prepare Product Master Data Request form to add new product in the system and co-ordinate with operation teams for smooth process in a timely manner.
• Monitor workflows and identify areas for process improvement in the business development cycle e.g. cost saving program.
• Communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and providing all documents needed to support business workflow.
• Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Operation, Trade Marketing, Key Account, Regional and Global team to plan, execute and manage the product roadmap.
• To understand market need, new trend and consumer insight to find the new opportunity for our brand growth.

Qualifications

• Completed a bachelor's degree.
• Have at least 4-5 years of experience in project management for FMCG products or development of cosmetics.
• English communication skills (written & spoken) are required
• Solid knowledge in regulatory affairs, and scientific validation.
• Possess strong capabilities, leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments, regional and global team as well as all external stakeholders.
• Interested in cosmetic products and other beauty products
• Able to use Microsoft Office e.g. word, Excel, power point, etc.
